International orders*The FiberBridge 6500 8 GB SAS/SATA Storage Controller from ATTO Technology is a performance tuned, manageable, protocol translator which allows FC initiators to communicate with SAS/SATA target devices. The FiberBridge 6500 allows your SAS/SATA disk storage to integrate into a Fiber Channel SAN. This provides the benefit of increased availability and scalability while allowing the use of direct attached storage on a shared Fiber Channel network.
The FiberBridge 6500 allows you to connect newer, faster and higher capacity SAS or SATA drive technology to your existing 2, 4 or 8Gb Fiber Channel SAN. By eliminating the fiber components in a drive chassis, power consumption is reduced along with costly fiber components such as SFPs and the quantity of switch ports required by storage.
The FiberBridge 6500 also includes Drive Map Director, which provides a predictable LUN mapping structure for SAS devices attached to the FiberBridge 6500.
| Bridging Features |
The core control logic driving ATTO Bridge products is optimized to maintain priority for data transfers while providing memory management and cooperative multi-tasking Drive Map Director provides consistent drive, shelf and rack device LUN mapping Universal Virtual Device Architecture (UVDA) product which supports protocol conversion between hosts and targets and designed to move data quickly and efficiently Virtual Device Manager (VDM) is a proprietary software architecture that assures the smooth flow of data. VDM minimizes overhead by creating a virtual link between initiators and targets on a per-command basis The Data Routing Fabric topology incorporates advanced ASIC, firmware and interface technologies that enable users to configure bridges to specific operating environments Virtual Drive Response improves reliability by reducing failed or incomplete backups (2H 2011) Error Correcting Code (ECC) cache memory Max login management capability |
| OEM Customization |
Hardware configuration options allow for unique board ID to define initialization and characteristics of the OEM product Bridge configuration able to accommodate features which interact with custom software packages to enhance the bridging hardware OEM configuration files store OEM specific parameters in NVRAM which enable features, product naming and look and feel of the user interface for the OEM product Product labeling will allow OEM logo and naming to appear on the front of the rack mount or desktop enclosure |
