The ATTO iPBridge 1550D 1GB/S Desktop iSCSI to SCSI Bridge provides a simple and cost-effective way to add iSCSI connectivity to Ultra320 SCSI devices. The iPBridge 1550D is available as a compact desktop unit which provides near-wire speed throughput, allowing SCSI storage to operate at near-native speeds. Initial installation and configuration is a quick and painless task due to the ExpressWizard configuration assistant, which helps optimize the bridge for specific application needs by asking a series of basic questions. Management of the bridge is simplified with Express-NAV, which provides an easy interface to configure, manage and diagnose ATTO iPBridges.
The iPBridge 1550D offers broad market acceptance through ISV certifications and support for leading iSCSI protocols. It also offers an affordable solution to connect disk or tape storage over an Ethernet network. It makes the process of developing a SAN easier through the user of familiar Ethernet technology.
The iPBridge 1550D is a cost effective, high-performance iSCSI-to-SCSI bridge that enables small and medium-sized enterprises and departmental workgroups to migrate servers from a Direct Attached Storage to a Storage Area Network environment, enabling highly-effective consolidation and utilization of storage assets. Performance of the bridge is optimized through Bridging Architecture, while SpeedWrite efficiently queues outstanding write commands to enhance the throughput of the bridge. An additional feature of the iPBridge 1550D is an easy-to-use browser-based GUI that provides remote configuration, management and diagnostic capabilities.
