The CB-25B replaces the CB-25A and is the more evolved version of the previous HD Backpack from CineBags. The CB-25B has charcoal-colored webbing and black and grey embroidering. Waterproof material with a pullout rain cover has got you covered when the elements hit. There's even a pen and small tool organizer and an ID pouch. I bought this AC pouch as well as the smaller tool pouch to use in conjunction with another Cinebag product, the new Revolution Backpack. I shoot video in NYC with with multiple DSLRs so the main part of the pack is filled with 3 DSLR bodies and 6 primes meaning most of my accessories are in the exterior pockets, so I used this AC pouch to give me just a bit more and quick access (batteries, card wallet, mag, smaller sub-puches) and it perfectly and EASILY attaches to the web belts on the Cinegear backpacks...the belt loop is perfectly sized for a snug fit. As I'm walking around the city a lot (vs. a car, etc.) and conditions can vary with light from block to block due to buildings/shadows, I carry more in my kit than most probably do. It is larger than I thought and extremely well made, the 600 denier is rugged and waterproof and even the interior dividers are the same waterproof 600d to resist any wear from pulling things in/out constantly. I use the smaller tool pouch on the waist belt of the backpack to hold (2) phones (my iPhone 4(which I hate but have to carry) or an iPod Classic fits perfectly in the front section and my Evo Android fits in the larger rear slot, iPod etc while I'm on the go. These guys are pros, they know what they're doing, best gear bar none I've ever had (pouches, backpacks, camera/video bags, ski bags, bar NONE) I heavily considered a Porta Brace bag hands-on, side by side in the B&H store (3 visits before buying - I'm not OCD, was there for other things too) and it wasn't just a no brainer ultimately from the cost differential but it's just a better designed bag with better features for location shooting...and while I think Porta Brace makes a good product, it simply isn't as good as Cinebags...period. ...and it looks cool (and everyone likes to look cool whether you admit it or not) :)

For me, this backpack is designed backwards.

It has the laptop compartment on the outside of it - farthest away from the shoulder straps. The laptop would be the heaviest item in the backpack so why not place it closest to your body for balance purposes? I could barely, by stretching the zipper to its bursting point, contain a 2010 17" MacBookPro.

To place items into the main compartment, you have to go through the shoulder straps to reach this area. Sooner or later this would have lead to me dropping a lens or something else.

I was not confident that I would be able to travel an AF100, Nikon D700 & lenses in this bag.

For a lot of people, this backpack might be a great bag. However, I returned it and purchased a Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW Backpack which comfortably fits a 17" mac, AF100, Nikon D700 with lens attached, 3 other lenses and room to spare - and has a smaller exterior footprint.

Comments about CineBags CB-25B Revolution Backpack:

Great bag that holds 70-200 2.8, 80-400, D700, 50mm 2.8, flash, diffuser, chargers, filters, and laptop.
Don't care for the access to the camera gear being under the straps; but it is not that inconvenient considering I carry the main lenses in my vest or side bag when hiking.

The best camera bag I have ever owned.
I had a previous bag that was actually bigger in size so I was worried this new one would not fit all my stuff. Boy was I wrong this fit everything that was in my other bag and more.

This is a great pack, I went on a 2 week adventure through the Amazon Jungle in Ecuador with this pack and it worked just fine. I was able to carry my Canon 7D, Extra lens, 15" Computer, monopod, accessories, and extra clothes. This is a good value and I would recommend this for anyone going on a trip like mine or even just wanting to keep there kit all together as they cruise around town.

Fit my Z5U, D700 and two lenses in the camera compartment and just about everything else associated with operating those cameras in the other compartments. The unit fit perfectly in the overhead and is comfortable to wear, highliy recommend. I with the main compartment was a tad bigger, but its big enough.

Comments about CineBags CB-25B Revolution Backpack:

This backpack strikes a good balance between ruggedness and design. It's very well made and comes with enough different sized dividers that you can tailor the backpack to carry lots of different items as needed. It's clearly designed for video and photo gear, eg. the pockets on the side are exactly the right size for Anton Bauer batteries. The main compartment is big enough to carry an HPX 500 camera body on it's side, and is still legal carry-on size. A 17" Macbook pro fits on the outside pocket which is ideal in my opinion as it doesn't get crushed by all the other gear you have packed when you put it in the overhead compartment. Last but not least, it looks cool.

Comments about CineBags CB-25B Revolution Backpack:

I use this bag for carrying my HPX170 and associated gear. It easily accommodates the camera, spare batteries, Rode shotgun mic, several P2 cards, 15-inch MacBook Pro, chargers for everything, and other various accessories with room to spare. It also has straps on the back for my tripod.

It's very well constructed and, while being large enough to carry all of my gear, it's still within airline carry-on size constraints. This was an important consideration for me because I don't like to let my gear out of my sight when travelling.

Carrying around this much equipment can get really heavy, but the shoulder and waist strap system work really well to distribute the load evenly.

I would definitely recommend this bag to anyone with an HPX170 or HVX200.

This is the only pack I found that's roomy enough and flexible enough to fit my Super 16mm Bolex film camera and accessories in. The dividers can be arranged to accept nearly any camera body style and still accomodates my zoom lens, as well as several primes. I can even use the laptop pocket to hold my 400' magazine. Time lapse motor, filters- it all fits, and is designed by folks who know what a photographer needs. I only wish it had a better tripod holding arrangement and an open water bottle pocket within instant, easy reach.

Two-man team uses this bag to transport a Panasonic [model], audio gear and accessories to shoot locations. Folks, this thing is BIG. We needed a large bag for our large camera, and we got exactly what we needed. Plenty of padding, sturdy construction, and GREAT strap system. It's very comfortable to wear, even for a long trip. We also keep a large Dell Precision M4400 laptop in it. Beware, though... when it's fully-loaded, it's hard to get into the bins on a small airplane. It's cumbersome, but we love it.

This bag is 98% awesome. My first use was a shoot in Ireland. Climbing the Giants Causway, the bag was comfy and not restrictive. I carried a JVC-HM100, Nikon D200, 2 lenses, flash, audio and 17" Macbook with ease.
On the plane, it fit easily in the overhead bin. The only thing I'm not so cool on is the opening is on the inside, so it has to fully come of to get in it. Other than that, it's awesome. Glad I bought it!

This is a great backpack for carrying all your gear. The one limitation that I ran into was the straps seemed to strain when the bag was under full load capacity. They did hold up, but I wonder if the gig had been longer if the sewing would have held at the top connection of the strap to the backpack.
Overall I am very happy with the backpack.
