Comments about Panasonic 8GB SDHC Memory Card Class 10 UHS-I:
I shoot with Panasonic AF100s and well as P2 cameras. I have used these cards for several months.
When you understand the features of this SD card, it's a no-brainer to purchase.
First off, the card is ruggedized, so it does not flex like a regular card. I have had cheaper cards crack in half in my hand.
Secondly, these cards are "5 proof": Shock, Temperature, Water, Xray, and Magnet proof. More like a P2 card than anything I have seen.
Most importantly, the cards use a special controller inside the card to prevent clip/card corruption when a file might not get closed (like when your battery runs out in the middle of a take). Plus it balances the memory writing, by not writing to the same spot on the card all the time, so that the card lasts a long time.
As a bonus, the card reads twice as fast as a regular class 10 card, so offloading from the card is quick.
The cards also have a mini-qr code, which is like a serial number. I am waiting for a reader for my phone, that will allow me to track usage via QR code.
When used with the new Panasonic USB 3.0 reader, you can run a integrity check on the card before you shoot, just for added piece of mind.
Overall, this card is a no-brainer.
