Comments about Panasonic UHS-1 Compliant USB 3.0 Reader / Writer:
Its a bit faster with the same cards and interface than my old reader. A big thing for me is that it handles SDXC which my old reader did not. The micro card reader is a nice to have as well. Some time in the future when I move to USB3 this sill be a big help.

Comments about Panasonic UHS-1 Compliant USB 3.0 Reader / Writer:
I bought this along with the Panasonic UHS-1 SDHC cards to take advantage of the 90+MB/s read speed via USB 3.0
I have compared it with my other Lexar pro usb 3.0 dual slot reader and usrobotic all in one usb 3.0 reader. The speeds of all 3 are about the same using the ASUS P8P67 deluxe mother board USB 3.0 ports. After installing the included Panasonic software the Panasonic performs slightly better. (crude, not by stop watch kind of testing with 1G and 3G jpeg and Sony RAW files)
It is nice this unit does not need a cable but you might need the included USB 3.0 extension cable if you don't have enough clearance on either side.
The minus side is this is SD card only whereas the other two reads other format cards as well. (CF on the Lexar and pretty well everything on the usrobotic)
I would recommend this if a small UHS-1 SD reader is what you are after because this is $10 more than the other two.
