As some Britons would say, this "does what it says on the tin."
This item includes lens cleaning fluid, an "airbulb" connected to a brush, and several sheets of cleaning paper.
With the airbulb/brush, one can use the grey bulb to brush any particles off the lens or filter. In my case, it is the filter, since both of my Canon EF USM lenses are covered/protected by B&W Schneider-Kreuznach Skylight filters.
I've also tried this item directly on the lens of my Leica C1 compact camera, with a lens which opens and protracts when the power is turned on and retracts and closes once the camera is shut off.
Please, don't leave home (with your camera) without a kit similar to this. I also carry extra sheets of Kodak Lens Cleaning Paper (50 to a checkbook style folder which is inserted into a protective envelope when not in use.
Another excellent related item are Zeiss Pre-Moistened Lens Cloths. Great when you don't want to go through the trouble of juggling cleaning fluid and cleaning tissue. These are similar to "Handi Wipes" and, as an eyeglass wearer, I find these invaluable for cleaning glasses as well.
Of course, both of the aforementioned items (in addition to the Lens Cleaning Kit by Canon) are available at B&H! :-)

Don't waste your money
I am a professional videographer, using Canon Gl2 and XL1 cameras. I own three different lens/filter cleaning options, and this one was a waste of money.

I am a professional videographer, using Canon Gl2 and XL1 cameras. I own three different lens/filter cleaning options, and this one was a waste of money.
Brush/Air Blower
Never used it, because the bristles were too stiff - I was afraid it would scratch my lens. The air blower feature doesn't have enough strength to move a single dust particle.
Disposable Lens Cleaning Tissues
Used one of them, threw out the rest. The tissue is very fragile and shreds when you use it, leaving fragments of itself sticking to the lens or lens rim.
Yellow Cleaning Cloth
Very very cheap fabric. The edges fray, the fabric shreds, and it leaves fuzzy lint on your hands and all over your lens, clinging with static electricity. My lens had more junk on it after using this cloth than before! The texture of it feels like cheap arts and crafts fabric, not professional lens cleaning fabric. Now in the garbage too.
Liquid Cleaning Solution
This is the only usable item in the kit, but I'm pretty sure it's just rubbing alcohol, and a drop of rubbing alcohol from the drugstore will clean your lens just as well as this fluid. The bottle is nice to have, since it dispenses one little drop at a time, but that's not really worth it for the price of the whole kit.
I use microfiber lens cleaning cloths, such as the General Brand item mentioned below, with great success. Buy yourself one or two 6 dollar microfiber cloths and a bottle of rubbing alcohol, and you'll be set to clean lenses to your heart's desire!

Comments about Canon Lens Cleaning Kit:
The fluid and lens tissues are great, but the soft cloth leaves lots of lint fibers behind. I almost wish I didn't use it on my lens as I had to spend a while blowing lint away. Brush is so-so.

This is not as convenient as lens cleaning wipes, but it is the Canon standard and what I use to clean my actual lens before putting a filter cover/protector over it.

Smudges happen. Every new SLR owner should pick up one of these...they're too inexpensive not to. Microfiber cloth is a bit linty at first.

Comments about Canon Lens Cleaning Kit:
Its not fantastic. Actually duster and [...] lense wipes would probably be alright and do the same job. But its great to have in the bage. You can seriously mess up a whole shoot if your lense is dirty and you don't have anything to clean it with.

Right after this I bought the Nikon Lens Pen system and found it to be far superior. I also have different blowers that work better. Decent product but recommend lens pen anyday.

Comments about Canon Lens Cleaning Kit:
I just purchased this lens cleaning kit, and have used it successfully. As others have noted, the yellow cleaning cloth is not microfiber and, therefore, does appear to shed lint. It may be useful to wipe the outer part of the lens and camera though. I bought a microfiber cloth separately.
The brush is particularly useful to clean around the edges of the lens/filter, and/or to brush off any sand, dirt or visible debris. Others have mentioned that it doesn't blow out much air, but I think it serves its purpose. For what it is, I wouldn't expect it to blow highly pressurized air.
The white disposable cleaning tissues work great with the bottled cleaning solution. My lenses were perfectly clean after using this kit, and I am happy with the products.
It would have been nice if the cleaning kit had come with a small drawstring bag or a pouch to store everything in.
