In addition, the ultra-cool feature eliminates the need for a fan in external drives. Built-in IntelliPower technology maintains proper balance of spin speed, transfer rate, and caching algorithms, thereby offering reduced power consumption and solid performance.
IntelliSeek function calculates optimum seek speeds to minimize power consumption, noise, and vibration. Featured NoTouch Ramp Load technology ensures that the recording head never touches the disk media, providing enhanced drive protection in transit. During startup, the Caviar Green Power-saving Desktop Hard Drive consumes less current, thus allowing lower peak loads.
