The convenience, network connectivity and audiophile-grade processing of the Marantz SR5006P SR5006P Audio Video Receiver make it an excellent foundation for any high-powered home theater. It offers support for up to 7.1 channels with 100 watts of power per channel for immersive surround sound to make your movies, music and video games come alive. Its newly styled front panel lends a touch of elegance to any space while featuring the classic Marantz "star and circle" display. Of course, it supports an array of advanced audio formats from Dolby and DTS to take your movies to the next level, including lossless Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio and High Resolution Audio.
But the SR5006P is more than an amplifier and processor for high definition multi-channel audio -- it's also got network capability, so it can stream the offerings of internet radio stations like Pandora, Rhapsody and Napster right into your living room. Once you connect it to the internet it can grant you access to thousands of worldwide internet radio stations for a plethora of entertainment options. Plus, it's Apple AirPlay ready so you can stream music wirelessly from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad over your home network. Or, you can connect them directly to the front-panel USB port.
This receiver also has auto setup and room calibration, allowing you to navigate setup on your TV screen via HDMI. Plug in the included microphones, place it in your favorite spot and run the Setup Wizard. Audyssey MultEQ-XT automatically analyzes your room's acoustic properties to determine optimal settings and tailor the sound to your listening space. Since this receiver can send audio to a second zone, you can enjoy a movie in one room while music is playing in another.
