Good for working outside and car camping. Good indoor sound as well. Plenty loud and good bass/mid/treble balance. Sounds better than anything I tested under $400. Not audiophile quality but neither is the sound coming from an Ipod.

I recently got this speaker system as a Christmas present but had to return it because it shipped with a broken handle. It was not problem, as B&H was good about sending a new one. The sound quality and power is excellent for my college dorm room, and I can't wait to try it out outside in the spring. As for problems, the power button takes 2-3 presses before it actually turns on, and the boom box does not include batteries. Other than these very minor setbacks, so far these speakers have been fantastic for both music from my iphone as well as music and video game audio from my computer. I definitely do not regret receiving this product.

The sound quality is fantastic, warm and enveloping. The equalizing feature is helpful to reduce bass in certain situations, i.e. talk radio, home theater.
