The durable Panasonic Toughbook 53 CF-53EJAZX1M 14" Notebook Computer is built to go anywhere; it's resistant to drops up to 36", shocks, vibrations, dust, higher altitudes, higher or lower temperatures, temperature shocks, and humidity. The Toughbook 53 features the 32-bit Windows 7 Professional Operating System, which is powered by a dual-core 2.1GHz Intel Core i3-2310M Processor.* The Toughbook 53 features a 14" HD LED backlit display with a resolution of 1366 x 768. In terms of graphics on the display, this notebook relies upon the integrated HD Graphics 3000. The notebook has 2GB of internal SDRAM DDR3-1333MHz memory, which is expandable up to 8GB. It also affords 320GB of shock-mounted hard-drive storage that can be easily removed if you need to take it out.
Perfect for mobile use, the Toughbook 53 is equipped for wireless connectivity. It features Atheros 802.11 b/g/n WiFi capability for connecting to the Internet from a wireless network or WiFi hot-spot. For added versatility, the Toughbook features an Ethernet terminal, a super-speedy USB 3.0 port, three USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port, and even an HDMI terminal for viewing uncompressed video content on an HDTV. The Ethernet port allows for a LAN connection, while the other ports provide you with multiple interface options for device and storage connectivity.
Designed for use in the field, the Toughbook 53 uses a special lightweight battery that provides up to seven hours of operation between charges. Plus, the battery requires only around two hours to fully charge. The Toughbook 53 affords enhanced security as well. It has a Kensington Lock Slot and features password security for its software and operating system. Panasonic also provides Computrace theft protection agent in BIOS, as well as optional, separately sold fingerprint and SmartCard readers. This notebook's wide array of security features, multiple connectivity options, and solidly constructed magnesium alloy frame all attest to its ultra-portability and rugged design.
