International orders*The Leader LT 4441 Signal Changeover Unit switches signals from primary to backup in case of errors in the amplitude of the primary input signal. The unit provides 11 channels, each channel consisting of a primary input, a backup input, and an output.
Depending on the configuration of the internal switches, the channels receive SDI, analog black burst, tri-level sync, AES/EBU digital audio, and word-clock signals. The unit uses relays for switching channels between 1 and 3 while the electronic switches are used to switch channels between 4 and 11. Equipped with high-speed detection circuits, the channels between 4 and 11 offer error-free switching of signals.
Channel 9 and 10 inputs are dedicated inputs for AES/EBU digital audio signals. Channel 11 input is a dedicated input for word-clock signals, receives TTL signals, and transmits +5 V CMOS signals.
On signal interruption, the LT 4441 Signal Changeover Unit switches the control to a signal (primary or secondary) with least glitches. The LED panel indicates the channel with error in signal. Depending on the rise time of the system signal source connected to the unit, you can schedule the start of error-monitoring at power up by setting the status of the unit as fast or slow. When used in combination with LT 443D signal generator, the LT 4441 Changeover Unit can be mounted in 3 U space.
