Casio LK-280 Portable Keyboard
The Casio LK-280 Portable Keyboard features 61 light-up keys, up to 600 built-in tones, stereo piano sounds and more. There is a 1/8" (3.5mm) mini input for connecting external portable MP3 players, and a USB port for class compliant MIDI operation. Play along with up to 180 built-in rhythms and accompaniments that follow your chord changes. In addition to all this, there is a 5 song recorder, capable of layering up to 6 tracks and an SD card slot for storage. The LK-280 is battery operated for complete portability, and the AC power supply is also included.

Had me playing along to the Lion King in a few minutes BUT the pre-loaded songs are very limited (the usual out of copyright stuff) and the step up lessons arent available with user loaded MIDI songs. You do however, get the lighted keys with the MIDI's (apparently!).
The piano tone is pretty good and the choice of other instruments is HUGE.
Buy a padded case for storage and portablility unless you will have this on a stand permanently.
B&H ordering/postage to Australia was fast and efficient and probably one of the best in the business.

The step by step lessons are amazing! It helps a lot to learn new songs. It is nice to have a lightning keyboard that shows you which note has to be hitting and which finger to use to follow the song.
This keyboard has a lot of song in it that you can learn pretty quickly.

I ordered this after I had issues with another company and thought my daughter would not get her christmas gift.
