The General Electric MCE-Coax High-performance Converter converts signals from analog coaxial cables to make it compatible with full digital systems. The analog to digital conversion ability makes the converter a quick replacement and smooth migration solution for legacy devices.
Combining Ethernet and VDSL technologies, the MCE-Coax High-performance Converter offers fast data transmission speeds up to 100/65 Mbps, over existing coaxial cable without the need of rewiring. In addition, the device enables you to extend the signal transmission distance up to 1 mile (1.6 km) over the existing coaxial cable.
As the MCE-Coax High-performance Converter doesn't need any software configuration, it offers true plug-and-play functionality, and is fully compliant with multiple network protocols. Rich diagnostic LEDs on the front panel updates you about the operating status of individual ports as well as the whole system. The converter features 2 selectable modes - 1 for client-side (CPE) and the other for central-side (CO) operation.
