Comments about Fiio E7 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier:
I researched this product category for days trying to find out what was the best bet for my money, after reading reviews and watching a YouTube review I decided on the E7 USB DAC amplifier. The software loaded within seconds through the USB port and the sound quality was great with lots of amplification of the signal. I think it is overpriced to some degree, but this is a case of "you get what you pay for". STAY AWAY FROM CHEAP NO NAME PRODUCTS ON AUCTION SITES, READ ALLOT OF BAD REVIEWS, SPEND THE MONEY. I also would like to add that I have done business with B&H Camera for years, they have the lowest price's by far and great service and fast free shipping on everything that I've purchased from them. I use this to watch movies on my Laptop on Airplanes.

Comments about Fiio E7 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier:
both an excellent headphone amp as well as a computer DAC. This unit bypasses your sound card in the computer in order to amplify the sound to power headphones. The only all around unit better is not yet available. That would be the Fiio e17 at $139.

Comments about Fiio E7 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier:
Sounds wonderful with SRH840 headphones.
One minor wart is that the E7 produces a very low volume but still audible noise while charging from USB. Disabling charging fixes the problem.

I use this product as both a portable DAC and a headphone amp on the go. Coupled with my Shure 440 headphones this products packs quite a punch. The quality in the audio is so much better, everything is clear, you're able to hear every sound in detail. Its an amazing product for a great price

Comments about Fiio E7 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier:
I initially bought this DAC for my laptop but I realized that it could be used with other devices such as MP3 players or even my desktop computer. While it's difficult to determine if there was a significant improvement in sound quality over the integrated audio chipset of the desktop, I feel like there was an improvement when listening to my ipod or ipad. Also, I really like the quality and style of the object itself. I think that for this price you can't go wrong.
