The Fiio E9 Desktop Headphone Amplifier with E7 Dock is designed to work with the Fiio E7 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier and USB soundcard. It features dual-channel power outputs for both 1/4" and 1/8" headphone plugs, as well as an additional RCA L/R audio output, USB interface and line input. The amplifier features a Texas Instruments main power amp integrated circuit with a low noise level, low distortion and a high conversion rate. The E9 is cleverly designed with an E7 dock for using the line out signal from the Fiio E7 docking port. This provides better sound quality and makes the amp able to drive high impedance or low sensitivity headphones - giving you the clarity and punch to make your music sound alive and vibrant. Plus, it lets you charge and sync the E7 with your computer as well. The E9 even has a Low/High gain section switch, LED power indicator and a built-in power converter to meet the demands of high dynamic signal processing.

Comments about Fiio E9 Desktop Headphone Amplifier with E7 Dock:
I use a combination of both E9 and E7 as a desktop amplifier.
Most of my listening is done by earphones (Shure SE535) or my HiFi system.
I usualy use the E7 on its' own, combined with an L9 cable for my IPod.
Most music I listen to is Ripped from original Cd's and is of high quality (320 Kbps).
Using both combinations, I have witnessed a siginificant improvement in sound.
I've been enjoying a much cleaner and clearer sound quality on all frequencies, from bass to treble (Especially listening to Classical music and Jazz).
The vocals seem more forward and pronounced, and the seperation between different instruments is much improved.
I'm extremely pleased with this product and enjoying it very much!
P.s.
I have studied music through the years and sound is my passion, therefore, I believe I've gained some knowledge in what makes a good sound.
I will definitely recommend this product to other music lovers.
It's a tiny little product on a fair price with a lot of soul.
Thank you, Stefan.

Comments about Fiio E9 Desktop Headphone Amplifier with E7 Dock:
This amp is great for high quality headphones and it can only be used on a desk ! Be aware that there are portable amp on the market if you look at Fiio's products. I got exactly what I desired (quality and power). It can be used with other devices such as tablets and desktop computer. It was not difficult to determine if there was a significant improvement in sound quality since my headphones needed an amp. Also, I really like the quality and style of the object itself. For this price you can't go wrong.
*I have the 250 ohms version of the DT990 pro headphones and this amp can push the 600 ohm version very well. Also I only recommend my setup for home hi-fi use (not portable at all)

Comments about Fiio E9 Desktop Headphone Amplifier with E7 Dock:
I use it with Beyerdynamics DT880, it powers them easily. It drives a lot of power for the price, but the sound is very neutral. Pair it with a neutral pair of phones and you have a very neutral kit. It sounds incredibly well but it's not as ''fun'' as most people like their headphones.
