It is compatible with a wide range of audio/video products including set top boxes, DVR/PVR, and mainstream video surveillance systems.

With the capability to withstand high temperatures, the AV-GP hard drive provides complete reliability for round-the-clock streaming digital audio/video environments such as PVR/DVR, IPTV, and video surveillance systems. It consumes 40% low power compared to 7200 RPM hard drives, providing optimal system performance. Featured SilkStream technology allows you to capture video from up to 12 simultaneous HD video streams. Compatible with the ATA streaming command set, the SilkStream technology enables CE customers to use standard streaming management and error recovery options.

IntelliSeek function calculates optimum seek speeds to minimize power consumption, noise, and vibration. With the noise level reduced to less than 1 sone, the AV-GP Power-saving Hard Drive offers quiet and calm system operation. IntelliPower technology maintains proper balance of spin speed, transfer rate, and caching algorithms, offering reduced power consumption and solid performance. Equipped with IntelliPark feature, the system ensures that the recording head never touches the disk surface, providing enhanced drive protection in transit.

Integrated PWL (Preemptive Wear Leveling) ensures that the drive arm sweeps across the disk regularly, thus eliminating uneven wear on the drive surface. Compared to other media formats, the AF (Advanced Format) requires less storage surface area.
