Atlona 3 x 1 (1.3b) HDMI Automatic Switch with 6' Pro-HDMI Pigtail
The Atlona 3 x 1 (1.3b) HDMI Automatic Switch with 6’ Pro-HDMI Pigtail accepts input from 3 HDMI sources that are switched across an HDMI output. Auto-switching mode allows for switching to a proper source once the source is powered up; you can also select a signal via manual switching.
Supporting HDMI 1.3b format, the 3 x 1 HDMI Automatic Switch transmits signals with resolution up to 1920 x 1200 or 1080p. In addition, the switch also supports 36-bit Deep Color depth that delivers high-quality images and is also 3D capable. It transmits uncompressed LPCM audio and supports compressed audio such as DTS digital and Dolby digital (DTS-HD / Dolby True HD).
For error-free transfer at the link, the 3 x 1 HDMI Automatic Switch uses 24K gold-plated connectors. The switch comes with an attached 6’ (183 cm) cable for output, eliminating the need to purchase an additional HDMI cable. In addition, it is also compliant with HDCP protocols.

My audio receiver only has two HDMI inputs, one occupied by a Sony PS3 and the other by my DISH receiver. My daughter wanted to connect her xbox to the system, but found the composite video to be unacceptable. She wanted 1080p output. This automatic switch works perfectly. The PS3 and xbox are routed through the same HDMI input on the back of the audio receiver. It automatically switches to whichever device is turned on. If both are on, it switches to the one turned on last. There are red indicator lights to tell which device is active. The third port is unused at this time. I believe this to be a very good product.

Quick and easy, without any need to learn technical engineering. I bought this to hook-up my Xbox 360 and PS3 to a single HDMI input (I can only play one game at a time). The auto-select has no lag time picking up signal; and when I switch game consoles, I can use the manual switch. And so affordable.
