The Newer Technology Voyager Q Quad Interface SATA I/II Hard Drive Docking Station offers the easiest and most convenient way to access data from any SATA I/II or SSD drive. You can insert any 2.5" or 3.5" SATA I/II or SSD drive with up to 2TB capacity into the compact docking station and select from one of the four supported interfaces for achieving the fastest data transfer possible on your PC or Mac. It features a plug and play design and eliminates the need to install a drive into your computer, as well as the cost of an external enclosure. You'll be able to use naked SATA drives like flash memory cards.
The Voyager Q is also hot-swap ready, featuring a unique design that makes hot-swapping SATA drives simple and easy. Ejecting a drive is as easy as pulling up on it or using the eject lever for 3.5" drives. By offering a USB 2.0 port, eSATA port, dual FireWire 800 ports and a FireWire 400 port, all your interface needs are covered. The Voyager Q also eliminates the need to own multiple enclosures and power supplies for every archived drive. This makes it an ideal companion for photographers, videographers and audio engineers. Plus, with all supported interface connector cables included, an auto-switching power supply for worldwide compatibility and flexible operating system compatibility, the Voyager Q can travel anywhere and handle your data needs with ease.

Comments about Newer Technology Voyager Q Quad Interface SATA I/II Hard Drive Docking Station:
I bought six docks, two of them spoiled with little use.
It's great for agility that can switch HD's backup, but loses to seem fragile and leave the HD's exposed.
Use to back up the stuff that I record, I have a large amount of HD's and use to access and record the material in the HD's.
I bought the Mercury Elite Pro Quad Interface QX2 4-Bay RAID Solution, and liked to use offices with more than one HD that already makes more than one copy and leave the HD's insurance. 'll Do it for my voyager's Dock's Raid.

Comments about Newer Technology Voyager Q Quad Interface SATA I/II Hard Drive Docking Station:
This product was very easy to use right out of the box. I bought a hard drive to go with it and it took me longer to unwrap everything than to get it up and running.
This is exactly what I had been searching for - a low cost solution to keep up with the voluminous amount of data I am finding myself having to archive. It has yet to be seen how the stability of the workflow and solution will hold up over time, but for right now I am thrilled to have this system in place.

Comments about Newer Technology Voyager Q Quad Interface SATA I/II Hard Drive Docking Station:
For about the same price of a quad interface case, I now have the ability to just purchase bare bone hard drives for my storage needs. And it helps that that the Voyager Q is rather stylish, too (No rhyme intended).

Comments about Newer Technology Voyager Q Quad Interface SATA I/II Hard Drive Docking Station:
Quad interface! Power button on top, not back! Cannot pass S.M.A.R.T. data!!! Big problem for Hitachi 3TB drives (No DFT) because it cannot run S.M.A.R.T. tests, especially extended surface.
