The Lite-Scoop Flash Modifier from Lite Genius is a little accessory that makes a big difference in photos taken using your on-camera flash. The Lite-Scoop softens and spreads the light, eliminating ugly, harsh shadows and directing the light from above--better for photos of people. It virtually eliminates "red-eye" and enhances skin tones. The Lite-Scoop attaches quickly and easily to a shoe-mount flash and can be simply changed when you move from horizontal to vertical orientation and back. The shape of the reflector makes it possible to cover even your widest wide-angle lenses. It's effective indoors or out, with a loss of light from the flash of 2/3 of a stop.

Comments about Lite Genius Lite-Scoop Flash Modifier:
Too often I find myself shooting an event in a room with a high ceiling or colored walls, and most flash attachments designed to bounce the light are simply not the right tool for the job. Enter the Lite-Scoop. This light weight little attachment sends over 85% of the light towards the subject producing a nice softly lit portrait that can't be beat with an on camera flash. It is easily packed in my camera bag, attaches in about one second and allows my flash to stay above the lens by pivoting with the flash head for horizontal or vertical shots. For a single portrait or a group the Lite-Scoop creates the perfect front light without picking up the color from the walls or ceiling. Even for shooting close ups of the wedding cake or the table cards, it wraps the light softly around the subject. It now has a permanent place in my camera bag, and on the job is usually found riding atop my SB-800. Cons? there is a metal armature sandwiched in the scoop surface that can become distorted if carried in a very full camera bag, but it is easily restored to its original shape in seconds, so no big deal. It's worth twice the price.
