Lite Genius Lite-Scoop II Flash Modifier
The Lite-Scoop II Flash Modifier from Lite Genius is a little accessory that makes a big difference in photos taken using your on-camera flash. The Lite-Scoop softens and spreads the light, eliminating ugly, harsh shadows and directing the light from above--better for photos of people. It virtually eliminates "red-eye" and enhances skin tones.
The Lite-Scoop attaches quickly and very securely to a shoe-mount flash using elastic fabric and touch-tabs, and can be simply changed when you move from horizontal to vertical orientation and back. The shape of the reflector makes it possible to cover even your widest wide-angle lenses, and it lies flat, so it fits into your camera bag more easily. It's effective indoors or out, with a loss of light from the flash of 2/3 of a stop.

This lightweight and somewhat large diffuser/reflector attaches easily and securely to the top of the flash unit with a combination elastic/velcro strap. Using it with a Canon 430EX flash, I got nice, soft, well illuminated photos free from the glare and harsh shadows of direct flash, but with more light and more consistent color than pure bounce flash. Works well horizontal or vertical. I have tried several other diffusers, and in terms of results, I like this one the best so far.
