The Series 3 NP300V4A-A02US 14" Notebook Computer from Samsung is a small, compact laptop meant to give you power while you're on the go. This computer relies upon a dual-core 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-2410M processor with a 3MB cache as well as the integrated Intel GMA HD graphics. That processor can also be overclocked to run at a max speed of 2.9GHz via Intel's Turbo Boost technology. Backed by this powerful CPU and integrated Intel Graphics, the notebook smoothly runs Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) as well any applications that you install. In addition, the computer ships with 6GB of internal DDR3 SDRAM memory, which helps you to seamlessly run and switch between multiple programs. For storing data, you'll have a 640GB SATA hard drive at your disposal.
The stunning 14" LCD display provides authentic clarity and vivid colors. It has an HD widescreen 1366 x 768 resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio and an antiglare screen. It also utilizes LED backlighting to operate without draining your battery power. For easy navigation through programs, the notebook features an 87-key keyboard and a mouse touchpad. This notebook is outfitted with three USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a 3.5 mm microphone input. For multimedia fun, there's a CD/DVD burner with DVD DL support, an integrated 1.3MP web cam, and dual 1.5W speakers. Also included is a 4-in-1 card reader slot that supports SD, SDHC, SDXC, and MMC memory cards.
If you want to connect external displays, the notebook features one VGA and one HDMI port. The latter port is great for connecting High Definition displays. As an added bonus, this notebook also supports Intel's Wireless Display technology, which allows you to stream video wirelessly from your computer to your HDTV. You will need to purchase an optional adapter for your TV.
For wireless communication, the notebook supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n so you can connect to wireless routers and hotspots. The notebook supports Bluetooth 3.0 for communicating with other Bluetooth-enabled devices. For a wired Internet connection, the notebook is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port. For added safety, the laptop features a Kensington lock slot and a trial version of Norton Internet Security.
