The most disappointing aspect is the rattling filters. You have to tape them into place to avoid unwanted rattling sounds. Hardly ideal.

I use this as an on camera light for my Canon 7d. Its good enough for lighting two people for an interview. I've also used it to add some light in a car, for a scene that I was shooting for a small film.

Comments about Bescor Morning Star Series LED-125 Dimmable 125W On-Camera Light:
I really like the range of light it provides from the dimmer switch, little light when wanted and nice and bright on the opposite end. I give it 4 starts instead of 5 cause one battery connection was a little tight so I had to wiggle/rotate the battery to get it to work. I wish the camera connection was metal but for the price I got my moneys worth and it is worth the money.

Comments about Bescor Morning Star Series LED-125 Dimmable 125W On-Camera Light:
Amazingly bright light for the money... A bit spotty in the center and it has that blue quality to the light, BUT... that can greatly be reduced or modified by the included orange gel... I do prefer using real CTO and possibly some diffusion but overall it's pretty darn awesome as it is....

Comments about Bescor Morning Star Series LED-125 Dimmable 125W On-Camera Light:
a)It's Bright as anything.
b)It lasts really long on AA batteries.
For the price and what you get it's a great deal. This tiny thing puts out a lot of light. I use it to record skateboarding videos of my friends. We mostly film these videos at night so a strong light is necessary. This thing really gets the job done for us.

Comments about Bescor Morning Star Series LED-125 Dimmable 125W On-Camera Light:
This light is bright! Too bright? Dim it. Great feature. Although it requires 6AA's not having to recharge the light during an event is what makes this light valuable. The only thing that concerns me is the plastic structure.

Nice and bright but not very rugged. Base for camera socket could be more robust. Good solution for the price. You get what you pay for.

Comments about Bescor Morning Star Series LED-125 Dimmable 125W On-Camera Light:
The unit, per the reviews I read, is pretty light duty but OK for the limited use I purchased it for. I did have to trim out the battery guides as they would not allow the batteries to seat properly. After doing that the unit would stay on. The batteries did last longer than expected - a good 90 min. It did come with a Sony adapter, that was not listed, that worked out OK as I have a Sony camera and purchased a extra mount that is not required.

Comments about Bescor Morning Star Series LED-125 Dimmable 125W On-Camera Light:
Filters don't rattle yet on my unit.
Angle much narrower than I expected, a clear diffuser would be great.
Cheap plastic, flimsy shoe, no tilt.
It's OK for the price.

Comments about Bescor Morning Star Series LED-125 Dimmable 125W On-Camera Light:
I owned a lower wattage (lumen?) LED light which wasnt powerful enough. This one certainly is powerful, but I was a little disappointed in the angularity. It's more a spot light than a floodlight.

I use the light for recording interviews. It's easy to operate and adjust..good even lighting.
It sits to low in the camera shoe, so I bought an adapter from B and H to solve the problem.
