International orders*The Grass Valley Edius Neo 3 & HDSPARK Board is a combination of software and hardware solution for non-linear editing applications. It consists of the Edius Neo 3 entry-level NLE software (full license) and a HDSPARK PCI-express, HDMI preview card.
Edius Neo 3 is a nonlinear editor that is suitable for those new to video editing, and has been designed for educational and institutional users. Using the Source Browser function, the software automatically seeks video content from removable media. In addition to real-time, multi-track, mixed-format HD/SD editing, the software comes with chromakeying, titling, and both Blu-ray disc and DVD authoring. Edius Neo 3 features a graphical user interface that supports unlimited video, audio, title, and graphics tracks. The editor offers a seamless, real-time workflow, and allows for mixing all formats on the same timeline.
Featuring the Edius application technology, Edius Neo 3 provides native editing in AVCHD, HDV, DV, Windows Media, QuickTime, and Canon EOS DSLR video. The software preserves the original image quality, without resolution or frame rate loss, and allows for efficient editing. In addition to real-time playback of 3 or more streams without requiring special hardware, the software can run on a laptop as well as a workstation.
Edius Neo 3 allows for input/output of video from any hardware that is OHCI FireWire (IEEE 1394)-compatible. The software supports 1080p50/60 projects, and offers real-time editing/conversion of different frame rates, such as 50/60p, 50/60i, and 24p. In addition to DV output directly from the timeline (for DV projects), the software can export AVCHD files to SD cards, memory sticks, and camera HDDs. The software provides segment encoding (smart rendering) export for MPEG and HDV, and also supports nested timeline sequences
The HDSPARK Board allows video professionals to preview full-resolution projects in real-time. An HDMI output allows for full-resolution, real-time monitoring via Edius NLE software. High-quality audio monitoring is offered via embedded HDMI audio output and separate RCA jacks. Precise editing and trimming is possible via video and audio outputs that stay in sync with editing windows.
You can simultaneously edit HD and SD resolution video content in real time. The HDSPARK Board supports native video formats such as DV, HDV, AVCHD, and uncompressed formats. Real-time SD/HD resolution, aspect ratio, and frame-rate conversion is available for 16:9 to 4:3 and NTSC to PAL. In addition, it also offers GPU-accelerated 3D transitions.
