Comments about LaCie 100GB CloudBox Network Hard Drive:
This Cloudbox has turned out to be the best backup solution for me. The main documents folder is automatically backed up to the Cloudbox, which creates a copy on the Cloud. The access is password-protected and the data is encrypted. I find it to be an easy, less expensive and more secure alternative to regular cloud services I've used in the past.

Comments about LaCie 100GB CloudBox Network Hard Drive:
I've put a lot of effort and time into my project. Since accidents happen (I actually have some first hand experience here), protecting my work is my first and foremost priority. I've used other Cloud services in the past, but I think CloudBox is better. It's a combination of a local storage and cloud backup. Even if my computer's hard drive or the external drive fail, my files are always available on the Cloud. By the way the data is encrypted before it's sent to the cloud, so nobody but me can access it. By the way, once the CloudBox is setup it does all the work for you. Absolutely hassle-free solution!

Comments about LaCie 100GB CloudBox Network Hard Drive:
This is a nice little unit. I've got it a month ago, and it's been working just fine. I've done some research prior to the purchase, and figured out that it was more cost effective to buy CloudBox than subscribing for the same amount of storage with another cloud service provider. The drive comes with a full-scale Cloud backup service, which is very convenient, secure and easy. After the files are copied to the local drive, they are encrypted and automatically backed up to the cloud. Up to ten backup versions are kept on the Cloud, allowing a full restore to any point. The CloudBox is very easy to use. The drive has to be set up once, and then it automatically performs local and remote backup and encryption. I'm very pleased with this device.

Comments about LaCie 100GB CloudBox Network Hard Drive:
I've bought CloudBox for my office, for storing the most valuable and critical data. The drive is based on the mirroring RAID system principle: the data are copied both to the local hard drive and to the cloud, and of course encrypted before they leave the local storage device. The user password works as a decryption key. You lose the password, you lose access to your data. Flexible automatic backup settings make it possible to customize the process to suit specific tasks. As far as the price goes, it is way lower than alternative cloud services that I'm aware of.

Comments about LaCie 100GB CloudBox Network Hard Drive:
This is exactly what I needed for my work. I have about 100GB of important files that require constant backup. Until recently I've been backing up my files on a RAID-configured drive. This worked fine, but there's no insurance if something happens to the unit or if it's stolen. I know I may sound a bit paranoid, but I've learned my lessons the hard way. And you can never be too paranoid about security! With CloudBox everything is much easier. The files are encrypted and sent to the cloud in addition to the local backup. They simply cannot be lost. The device is very easy to setup, and once it's configured you can just forget about it.
