The Fast Track USB Interface with Pro Tools SE Software from M-Audio comprises a USB interface and Pro Tools SE software, that combined form the center of a project studio recording system. The M-Audio interface with a microphone preamp and phantom power, along with the Pro Tools SE software, once connected to the user's computer, provide all the necessary tools to begin building composition.

The Fast Track interface features a simple "plug-and-play" USB connection, and is the easiest way to record guitar, vocals and more with your PC or Mac. Simply plug in your instruments and you're ready to record. The interface offers phantom power for use with professional-quality studio condenser microphones and solves a common latency problem with a direct monitor switch, which allows for hearing the source directly through the interface before going to the computer.

Pro Tools SE includes a 3GB loop library. Additionally, one can choose from over 100 different instrument sounds and then add effects that include reverb, delay, EQ, compression, chorus, flanger, and many others, polish the tracks, and share them with anyone. The Pro Tools software contains a wide array of music creation templates for creating hip-hop, electronic, pop, funk, jazz, and rock and blues tracks.

The Fast Track interface is also compatible with Pro Tools M-Powered software in the event that the user wants to upgrade the software component of the system.

Comments about M-Audio Fast Track USB Interface with Pro Tools SE Software:

i use the product for home recordings..its pretty good..you just have to play with the mix levels to get a good quality sound that does not give alot of distortion. for the most part it gets the job done..but if you need more than a job done honestly consider investing in something better.
