Its built-in memory card slots accommodate most memory card types, the Wi-Fi connection enables wireless printing and scanning, while Epson Connect lets you print directly from an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Android phone.
Scan documents and photos up to 8.5 x 11.0" (letter size) and save them to your computer so you won't have to worry about losing important papers or photos. With up to 2400 dpi scan resolution, red-eye removal, photo restoration, and exposure correction, you can easily scan, fix, and share old photos right at home.
The copier lets you scan documents up to 8.5 x 11" in color or grayscale. There's no need to turn on the computer to copy a document, photo, ID card, or passport, just use the printer's LCD and touch buttons to copy, change the copy quality (draft normal), and specify how many copies you need.

This little printer is packed with features: wireless printing, scanning, and copying. I set it up to work with two laptops: one running Windows 7 64-bit and another on MacOS X Lion 10.7.2. Did not have any problems setting it up for wireless use. Also, downloaded and installed app to use it with iPad. I was surprised to see support for Google Cloud Print, as well. I set it up just to see how it works, not that I use this feature regularly.
Print and scan speeds are reasonably fast, fast enough for home use. It is good enough for document prints with some color graphics; I don't expect it to print great photos, but I don't use it for photos, anyway.
This device goes to sleep automatically when not in use and it wakes up as soon as you send something to print.
Overall, it is a great printer/copier/scanner for home use, especially if you have wireless router and use laptops and mobile devices in the house. Best package for the money.
USB cable is not included, if you plan to use wired connection. However, if you are replacing an old printer, you can use USB cable from it - it is standard.
The only negative thing about it is small cartridges. Regular ones do not have that much ink in them. However, there is an option of getting higher capacity cartridges or a Continuous Ink System (CIS), if you are planning on printing a lot.

Ad Hoc Wi-Fi does not work
The manual is incomplete. Explains how to set up an ad-hoc network on your PC but does not explain how to get the printer to recognize non infrastructure mode devices. Really Bad!

Comments about Epson Stylus NX430 Small-In-One:
I'm a freelance graphic designer on a shoestring budget. I picked up this printer because I really need to see how things look printed out, and also needed a scanner and photocopier. I have very little room, so the sleek footprint was a huge help. It's not tiny, but much smaller and less clunky than other all in ones. The wireless connection works great and is very convenient. Scanner and photocopier work well. In general it's a great value. My only complaint would be that I wish the colors printed out a little richer, but since it's a consumer level product that's to be expected. As always, lowest price and fastest shipping from B&H.

I never could install the scanner part. I can print OK but it took 10 minutes to print a 4 by 6 color photo. I would not recommend this device.

This is a versatile printer. Can be used wireless or hardwired. Easy set up. Individual ink cartridges reduce cost of constantly replacing cartridges. Just get the one you need.

Comments about Epson Stylus NX430 Small-In-One:
Bought after confirming from Apple that it works with OSx as well as PCs after constant HP issues. Simple setup, worked on both OS's right out of the box. Manual could be a little bit more explicit, should mention that the alignment test is really necessary when setting up the printer for the first time. It does make a disconcerting noise when first loading a sheet of paper to print but otherwise a reasonably quiet, reasonable speed printer.

Comments about Epson Stylus NX430 Small-In-One:
Easy to set up on wireless network, simple to load cartridges. Scans easily using the same (but newer) TWAIN software as my photo scanner. Footprint is the same as my Brother personal laser, but this printer is shorter, even with the scanner. Lastly, B&H had the lowest price with free shipping.

Comments about Epson Stylus NX430 Small-In-One:
This all in one works very well. Color prints come out very good but it is a bit slow and noisy. Regular prints come out fast. Scans work well though with a mac there is now way to make multiple scans save as one document. Overall I would recommend this all in one as a great value for the price.
