The PIXMA MG5320 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Canon prints in black and white at 12.5 IPM and in color at 9.3 IPM. Additionally, it takes the printer just 20 seconds to output a 4 x 6" borderless photo. With the printer's photo-lab quality output, you'll be able to print right at home. Its HD Movie Print even allows you to take a frame from an HD movie and print it as a photo so you won't have to worry about missing a photo op while shooting video. In addition to photos and documents, the printer has a CD tray which allows you to print directly onto an inkjet-printable CD, DVD, or Blu-Ray disc. Create your own custom CD designs or print the CD's contents right on the disc itself, no need to use cumbersome labels.
The printer's built-in wireless and wired network printing helps you get more out of your printer by sharing it with your entire network. You can also use the wireless to scan images and documents to any computer on the network.
The printer's auto duplex mode lets you print on both sides of the page without having to manually turn the pages over. Now you can easily create 2-sided documents and cut your paper consumption by up to 50%. Additionally, with Canon's Easy-WebPrint EX you can easily create printouts from any website with only the parts you need. You can even move, resize, and trim clips from different pages and save the layout as a PDF file. You can also use the printer to create an index print of all your photos, print directly from your Smartphone, memory card or USB key, and to create a passport or ID photo.
Scanning with the PIXMA MG5320 is easy; you can initiate a scan either from the computer or from the scanner. Using either method, the scanner will automatically detect the type of document being scanned and apply the appropriate settings. Should the scan need to be retouched, the printer's Auto Document Fix or Auto Photo Fix II will correct issues such as faded print, over-exposure, under-exposure, and skin tones.
The copy function allows for both standard 1-sided copies as well as 2-sided copies. Use the copier to enlarge or shrink an image or document to as small as 25% of the original size up to 4 times the original size. Features such as 4-in-1, 2-in-1, auto exposure/intensity, multiple copy, fit to page, and color correction provide you with all the tools you'll need to not only duplicate but to enhance your documents and photos.

My PIXMAMG5320 replaces a PIXMA 620 and has all the functions of the 620 plus it will print both sides of paper without requiring the operator to reinsert the printed document. I haven't used this feature yet. I use it in a wireless network and found it to be very easy to set up. At [$], this printer is a great buy. My similar PIXMA 620 cost me $249. MY only negative comment and the reason for a 4 star rating is speed. It takes the printer an unusually long time to process print commands (over one minute)but once it completes processing it is probably as fast as the manufacturer states.A great plus with Cannon in my experience is their customer service. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and easy to communicate with.

Didn't really need a scanner, but I wanted a printer that can print directly onto blank CDs. THe CD printing software is low end - I'm used to Adobe products, but I thinjk I have it figured out. The scanner is OK - software is a bit clunky, but images are OK. Print time is a little slow, but I don't print that much so I don't mind the wait. I like the fact that you can close up all the input/output doors to cut down on dust getting inside. B&H was the best price I found on this printer. Haven't had it long enough to know all the pros/cons.

This is the first printer I have bought since my Epson dot matrix printer from 1992. So far I have enjoyed using it. Black only pages print quickly, color prints pretty fast as well too. The few pictures I have printed have turned out very well.
My favorite feature is the wireless printing. I'm a mac user and the scanning software works very well.
All in all I'm happy I bought this and would suggest it to my friends and family.

Comments about Canon PIXMA MG5320 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer:
Great product, especially considering the low price! The photos are extremely good and rival those of photo printers using 6 or 8 different color cartridges.
Low noise, fast printing modes.
The scanner works great as well.
Good ink (not OEM) is available at low cost - just print whatever you like and as much as you like

Comments about Canon PIXMA MG5320 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer:
I bought this printer to replace my aging Canon MP500 that went through 2 print heads and countless ink refills in 7 years; so I'll be naturally comparing those models - after all, it's been years so things must have changed, right?
Both models are similar in their functionality (except for the wireless connectivity) and use 5 individual cartridges (4 dye, one pigment), which is a big deal for me (different color cartridges wear at a very different rate with my use pattern)
The good:
- Smaller footprint
- Love the wireless scanning option
- Scan quality is very impressive - it's a leap forward compared to MP500 (and that one was not bad either).
- Ridiculously easy to setup
- New software is easier to use and not as awkward as it used to be years ago
Now the bad:
- Cartridges hold substantially less ink than the CLI-8/PGI-5 series, and they are not cheap. If you are a casual user, they will do just fine, if you use the printer a lot - there's plenty of third-party options, if you know what I mean
- Slightly noisier than MP500 (both without using "quiet" mode)
Personal pet peeves:
- Can't check the ink level on the printer without going into menus (fairly deep). On MP500 you just had to press "Scan" and it would briefly show you the ink level
- There is no hardware paper feed switch button
Overall: for the price, you can't go wrong. It's a solid machine, and I had great luck with Canon printers in terms of their reliability.

Comments about Canon PIXMA MG5320 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer:
I use the printer in my home office and have it connected with the wireless feature. It has every capability I need and I really like the DVD/CD label printing feature. Having a separate holder for the photo paper avoids constantly changing paper. The ink cartridges are a little expensive but that is true for most printers.

Use this for Studio docs and photo output. Had (still have) an Epson 2200, 1280, 7600 and this Canon comes very close to the output. I haven't had time to calibrate it so I am sure it will at least match the output of my Epsons. The wireless feature works great. Scanner works great. The price was fab and I found inks that will not break my bank.

Comments about Canon PIXMA MG5320 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer:
This is a sleek looking printer that has a beautiful, bright print. Since it has a larger black cartridge for text printing, and the individual cartridges are reasonably priced, it's the best of the new inkjet printers available right now. The wireless printing is a big plus. If you have to replace your printer, I recommend this model.
It does have almost twice the footprint of my decade-old inkjet. It does not fit on a bookshelf. However, because it is wireless I can find a place for it anywhere in range.
This model does not fax. DO read the manual carefully when you are setting up your printer; it is not quite as plug-and-play as printers were once upon a time. Even if you print black-and-white text, it will use some amount of the colors & photo black, which is the case with all printers that have individual-color cartridges.

This printer does everything it is supposed to do. I love the duplex printing and scanning options. It is so quiet I hardly know it is working. Like the other reviews, it is slow to print the first time it is turned on. This does not bother me because everything else is so perfect. I am very pleased with my purchase and with how fast I received it from B & H Photo.

Comments about Canon PIXMA MG5320 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer:
The printer needs some design revisions mostly when it comes to priting pics of 4x6 size because there are no tracks to guide the photo when it enters the printer so the print can be off line because the printer doesn't grab the photo paper well and it can produce off line photo pics.Otherwise the printer seems to work well with every other task you can put on it. I just you it mostly for general home purpose applications.

Comments about Canon PIXMA MG5320 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer:
We bought this printer to have Air Print cabability as well as upgrading our old printer. We have been using it for about two months now and are satisfied with it's performance. It does all of it's jobs just fine. The only area I can not make much of a comment on is the photo printing aspect. I printed out a couple of small photos just to check it out and they were OK. I have a good size Epson for real photo printing and this printer is our every day printer. The scanning function works well and is useful. We really like being able to print both wirelessly and Air Print from IPads. You need to down load and install a firmware update from Canon to make the air print thingie work - it is simple enough to do. On the down side, sometimes it seems to take a bit of a long time to wake up and actually start printing.
Over all, a good little printer!

Comments about Canon PIXMA MG5320 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer:
I basically use this printer for home use and I'm not a professional photographer or anything like that, so I guess that may be the caveat here. But for my use, the printer does a very good job at printing digital pictures, documents, and scanning for the price I paid ([$]).I've only had it for a couple weeks so I can't comment on the ink usage. Construction is fairly solid but I did notice the power connector was kinda loose. The printing/scanning was performed pretty quickly...maybe could be faster. I like the led menu display, I found no problems using it.My connection is via wireless n-radio. Through the Setup option on the display you can easily scan and detect your network and configure accordingly...I had no problems with it. I would suggest making the printer's connection "static" on your router so it keeps the same IP.You get a startup guide, but the manual is on the CD. The CD will also help you configure your connection (wireless/USB) so I suggest using it.Overall, a good value for a great price.
