If you are already using the Cisco Smart Business Communications System, you can strengthen security by adding the Cisco SR 520-T1 Secure Router to the existing system. The intrusion prevention and content filtering, and the intelligent network quality of service let you prioritize voice and data network traffic to improve network performance. The Cisco SR 520-T1 enables highly secure VPN access to office applications and files. - Optional strong security features for the SR 520-T1 include a firewall that inspects traffic at the application layer to help protect the network from unauthorized users, an inline intrusion prevention system that provides deep-packet inspection to effectively prevent a wide range of network attacks, content filtering to add another layer of defense against malware and phishing attacks and support for IPsec and SSL VPN connections to enable remote employees to access your network securely.

Cisco configuration assistant enables you to fine-tune security settings and manage the Cisco T1 as part of a larger system, such as the Cisco Smart Business Communications System. It can also generate status reports, synchronize passwords and upgrade software across all of your Cisco network devices, reducing the time your staff devotes to network maintenance.
