Comments about Iomega 1TB Helium USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive:
I ended up trying a few portable hard drives for my MacBook Air. I ended up going with the Helium. It lacks the faster connections of other models, but it is compact, reasonably light, solid, and matches the MacBook Air very nicely. The USB connector on the drive could be better as the cable does not fit in as firm as I'd like.

Comments about Iomega 1TB Helium USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive:
This little guy is great. Extremely portable and worked immediately with MAC OSx Lion. First backup with be EXTREMELY slow so just set it overnight would be my suggestion. Otherwise. Love it!

Comments about Iomega 1TB Helium USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive:
I used it at first to backup my whole computer, took about 2 hours for 500 GB, It didn't warm up much. It's a very comfortable (really portable) size EHDD, simple design, same colour as a Macbook Pro's Unibody.
Comments about Iomega 1TB Helium USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive:
I recently read a review on the Iomega Helium at an online store website and was fascinated by its features. Seeing all the positive reviews I put my money on the Iomega Helium 1TB portable hard drive, so far no regrets. The solid aluminum design of the Helium speaks about the stability. The 256 bit Hardware encryption ensures that the device is secure from threats. I have downloaded the Iomega Protection Suite for extra safety.
More over the 1TB space is big enough to store all my photos and videos. The transfer speed also is good with the USB 2.0 interface. This portable hard drive deserves an ace.
Comments about Iomega 1TB Helium USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive:
Iomega is constantly improving its range of portable hard drives and Iomega Helium 1TB portable hard drive is one of its newer models that come with an increased capacity of 1TB. The block model is another improvement over its previous contoured design.
The design complements my MacBook Pro. The aluminum finish guarantees its durability. The drive comes with a single USB port with a LED light that displays the status of the drive. The compact design of Iomega Helium is due to its 2.5 inch drive. Despite the small size the device is able to hold 1TB data and this is not all it offers great security features as well. The AES 256 bit encryption enables extra layer of security. The encryption allows the user to configure the disk to one computer only.
Comments about Iomega 1TB Helium USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive:
I am using Iomega 1TB Helium portable hard drive for about a year now and there is nothing to complain about the device. From the day I started to use this portable hard drive there was not a single issue. I plugged the device and backup is so easy, I drag and drop the files. The device is USB driven, sometimes I was unable to stop the device and then I realized that the drive was open.
Once I closed the drive I was able to stop the device and unplug it. Though the device was meant for Mac computers I was able to reformat it for my PC.
