Use it as an external drive connected to my PCI-X eSata card on Win 7 PC. Have loaded about .5TB on it so far.
Hardest part of install was unpacking the carton. Plugged it in, attached the eSata cable, turned it on, and the drive appeared in Computer. Everything should work this easily.
No fan to make any noise, aluminum casing is cool to the touch.
Remember to order a separate eSata cable (only USB cable comes included in package, as clearly stated).
