The days of bulky, large, complicated projectors are long behind us. Today, the beamers in the mainstream are easy-to-use, compact and quite small. Vivitek is one company who is creating a swarm of those projectors capable of fitting into any environment. The D860 SVGA 3000 Lumens Digital Projector is an ultra-portable DLP projector that supports an amazing 2500:1 contrast ratio and shines bright at 3000 ANSI lumens. The D860 delivers bright, superb digital images with full color saturation. Intended for high-impact multimedia presentations, the Vivitek D860 is unmatched in performance and function.
It includes a Kensington lock as part of an anti-theft system, which is a small, metal-reinforced hole found on Vivitek video projectors. It is used for attaching a lock-and-cable apparatus, in particular those from Kensington. The D860 offers a 2W mono speaker system for clear, concise sound.
Weighing in at only 6 lb. (2.7kg), the D860 is the true road warrior. Take it wherever you go for showcasing any presentation you need to.

I use this projector for watching movies in my theater room. I think the picture is great for being standard definition projected on a white wall (no screen). The screen size is approximately 110 inches corner to corner in widescreen 16:9 format. The machine is really quiet on Eco mode and is plenty bright in the room (although my room has no windows). Also, the cool down time after use is really short unlike other projectors I have used. At the [$] price tag I think this was an amazing buy.

I give it 3 stars as being very good and still learning more about it. It's my first projector and I'm just getting a hang on it. Up to this point it has been serving my purpose in my cultural dance workshops. I use it often to project videos during my dance sessions and it's satisfactory. Lose some quality of the video but can live with it. After all it's under [$] Excellent for what you pay for. Thanks

Bought this for the high Lumens and it does not disappoint. We use this in a fully lit Gym with windows and it is clear at 20 ft away. Delivers great bright picture on a Da-lite screen with very good color. In the room with the lights off but windows open it delivers great picture and with the windows closed… hello great movie theater. If you want a budget projector that delivers a bright picture this one is perfect.
