The Compaq LA2306x 23" Widescreen WLED-Backlit LCD Computer Display from Hewlett-Packard is an easy-to-use solution for viewing content from your computer. The display features a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 -- equal to that of 1080p HD video. It also sports a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 170°/160° viewing angles, 250cd/m² brightness, and a 5ms response time. The display can accept VGA, DisplayPort, and DVI-D (with HDCP support) connections. Its DVI-D connector supports HDCP allowing you to view copy-protected content on the display. Along with these connections, the display features two USB 2.0 ports for connecting peripherals.
The display is backlit with an energy-saving WLED light. LED technology is free of the environmental toxins found in traditional CCFL bulbs, and provides more even illumination -- without the need for warm-up time.

- A slider stand allows you to adjust the height range of the monitor by 130mm to accommodate people who are taller or shorter
- 35° of tilt adjustability helps provide clear views at many different angles
- 90° pivot rotation makes long text easy to read with less need to scroll
- Swivel makes sharing your screen as simple as a quick turn of the head
- VGA, DVI-D, and DisplayPort inputs provide a wide range of advanced connectivity options
- A built-in two-port USB hub puts flash stick data at hand
- VESA compatibility provides a wide range of mounting solutions

- This monitor is designed to be more environmentally friendly as it utilizes WLED back-lighting, does not contain mercury or arsenic, and supports the following environmental standards: EPEAT Gold registration, ENERGY STAR qualification, TCO Display certification

This is a great monitor. I use it in a dual monitor setup with my laptop. There are cheaper monitors out there at this size, but they don't have all of monitor position options. The only downside is that when you look closely you can see some lines, but for the money I'm very pleased.
