Comments about HP / Hewlett Packard Compaq LA2405wg 24" LCD Monitor:
I recently purchased a macbook pro 13" knowing that I would like to invest in a large screen for docking and gaining desktop real-estate. I already have the 27" Cinema Display and wasn't ready to shell out big money for another one. I settled on this display because of the price mainly, but also because of some features that stood out.
The keyboard dock is actually perfect to tuck my notebook in. The stainless steel on this display really compliments the macbook. I also like that the monitor swivels 90 degrees which you don't see on all displays. I need this feature for my tradeshow booth.
I find that the display quality is decent. Text doesn't appear as sharp as a higher end display. But maybe I'm just too accustomed to the crispness delivered by higher end monitor.
I also narrowed my choice down due to this display's higher resolution (1200p) as I'm quite pixel hungry when it comes to work space on a screen.
The menu is nice and has a good variety of options. (even timer and sleep mode, cool!)
Display Port is also great for my apple notebook. A big plus.
I was surprised to see a 2 port usb hub built in as well.
This monitor is a bargain. I would have no problem buying this a second time as I enjoy saving money to put into other needs.

Comments about HP / Hewlett Packard Compaq LA2405wg 24" LCD Monitor:
Great Monitor for the price. It's not an IPS so don't expect that, but it's also really great for what you pay. 1920x1200 is the way to go.
