The E11 Headphone Amplifier from Fiio is a compact and lightweight headphone amplifier that offers high-quality audio, ideal for portable music devices. The amplifier has standard 3.5mm input and output connectors for compatibility with a variety of MP3 players, CD players, computers, earbuds, headphones, and other devices. It has a heavy-current 3-channel amplified circuit that lowers output impedance. It also provides high efficiency and a low-noise power boost. It provides precise and even sound pressure levels and a wide dynamic range.
The convenient volume control uses a closed APLS potentiometer to ensure low noise and excellent channel balance. The amplifier offers 3 levels of bass boost and 2 levels of gain to meet your personal preferences and adapt to different sound sources. There are also high and low voltage options to meet different needs. An auto-lock protective circuit will turn the amplifier off automatically in the event of abnormal activity in order to protect your headphones and minimize the risk of hearing damage.
The amplifier operates on a high-performance BL-5B Lithium battery that is easily replaceable. The battery provides approximately 10 hours of operation per charge, allowing you to listen all day. The amplifier has charging and power indicator LEDs to give you a visual cue of operation status. A charge priority function will cease operation while the amplifier is charging. Once the battery has been charged and the amplifier is unplugged, operation resumes.

Comments about Fiio E11 Headphone Amplifier:
I don't understand what the deal is with Fiio. I think they all sound terrible. I tried the E6, E7 and now the E11. They all added distortion for my Beats Pro, Sony MDR 5000's and B & W Passive NC earbuds. I don't know and this is a stab in the dark, I suspect they're trying to incorporate a DAC into these with gets fancy and screws up quality. I have a cheapy old ZO amp that only adds bass and volume, no distortion. I tried the Fostex (over $600 unfortunately) and found it to do the job of a great mobile headphone amp. All of these are loved by many and pretty cheap considering, so maybe it was just my tender ears..

I use this amp to drive Ultrasone Pro 900's from my Iphone. The music really starts to come alive. The build quality is pretty good for the cost.

Comments about Fiio E11 Headphone Amplifier:
I primarily use this amp with my iPod with my Sennheiser HD 380 & IE8 headphones. This amp brings out the best in the music & the headphones. Sound quality, volume, base... is excellent with this amp when paired with Apple iOS devices, using the line out FIIO converters, and high quality head/ear phones.
I also have the Fiio E7 and E5. The E11 amp is smaller, more powerful, and easier to use than the E7 and significantly better audio quality than the E5.
I also have the E9 that I use with my Sennheiser HD 600s = excellent desktop amp. I have not tried the E11 with the 600s yet.

Comments about Fiio E11 Headphone Amplifier:
I use this amp along with a Sansa Clip+ in the gym. This amp is replacing the excellent Fiio E5, which I have used a couple of years. I am replacing the E5 because my hearing is slowly going south and I need a little more clean volume. I listen to mostly 60's - 70's music which was recorded back in the days of tape. Record level had to be low so as not to over saturate tape - hence, low record levels require more amp. to play at decent level. I would highly recommend both Clip+ and Fiio E11 amp.

Comments about Fiio E11 Headphone Amplifier:
This is a great amp. Puts out enough power to properly power my pair of Beyerdynamic DT770s, the 250 ohm version. Sound is clear and loud on low gain setting. Bass seems slightly muddy on high gain but there is no need for it to be used. Volume knob is nice and tight, won't be accidentally bumped. Somewhat difficult to adjust when strapped to back of ipod. One downside to this amp is that it can't be used while charging.

Comments about Fiio E11 Headphone Amplifier:
For it's size and price, I really wasn't expecting all that much out of this amp. It supposed to add little more power when used with portable devices and thats it.
But boy was I wrong, this one delivers quite a bang, and it can add some more bass making it very useful in certain situations.
Only downside is you can't use it while charging, it only runs on battery and powers down during recharge.
