The DGK Color Tools DKC-Pro Multifunction Color Chart is a color tool for the performance of several tasks related to photography: white balance, exposure setting and color correction. The package consists of a DKC-Pro card 5.0 x 7.0" (12.7 x 17.8 cm), a Quick-start guide 3-fold card, and a Resource CD with additional guides and color profile software.
The color chart features multiple neutral gray targets for performing white balance in all lighting conditions. A large calibrated 18% gray patch and 6-step gray scale enable the performance of exposure setting. The gray scale can adjust and control for proper exposure using the histogram function of DSLR and other HD video cameras.
On the opposing side of the chart, there are 18 scientifically prepared color targets for performing color correction in cameras, displays, and printers, along with software for creating custom color profiles using Adobe Camera Raw (CS2 or higher).
The color patches are 100% coated with DGK's n-Chrome process, allowing for a much higher level of color saturation, luminance, and accuracy, while getting rid of metamerism. These patches represent the primary colors, process colors, and natural colors like human skin, sky, flowers, fruit, and foliage. The card creates an objective reference to be used in the studio or in your post-production work to compare and analyze any color differences or errors. This way, you can be assured of top-notch digital colors every time, from capture to display and print!

Comments about DGK Color Tools DKC-Pro Multifunction Color Chart:
As a multitasking professional, I use it for color reference for illustration, photography, video, color copier print calibration, pre-press and anywhere that I need consistent color and grayscale reference.
I purchased four sets. Two sets to have a balanced reference cards on either side or top and bottom of whatever the subject matter. The other 2 were for my boss to have a pair for his photography set-up as well!

You cannot beat this set for the price. Full range color on one side and a grey card on the other side, prefect for setting custom white balance. Comes in a handy DVD case, protecting the card while it hangs with the rest of the gear.

Comments about DGK Color Tools DKC-Pro Multifunction Color Chart:
The included help files refer to a zip file supposedly on disk -this file is required and not on my disk,- had to be downloaded. Once you have the zip file you have a far superior help file set and the .jsint file required to run check and calibrations in photoshop. Also in those help files are the actual pathing instructions missing from the disk. In half a dozen attempts I have been unable to get the calibration procedure to work. It crashes out after around 10 mins having substituted the image in photoshop for an image contaning text. As it flattens down any layers you make in the process you must open image again for another attempt. The checker script does run for me but doesn't seem to actually give much of great use.
Emails to Digital imageflow are so far unanswered. Box is about as cheap and nasty as a dvd box can get and the clips rub on card surface. Card itself is small and flimsy.

Comments about DGK Color Tools DKC-Pro Multifunction Color Chart:
Great for setting in-camera white balance or confirming exposure (gray card). The color chart is good for setting white balance in Lightroom or confirming colors. It is on paperboard and will have to be treated carefully to last, but comes in a plastic clip package like a DVD sleeve. Good value for the price.
