The black i1075 HardBack Case (With iPad Insert) from Pelican delivers ultimate protection when you need to transport your Apple iPad or iPad 2. Of course, there are inevitable times when you accidentally drop the case. For those times you need a case that will stand up to the impact and keep your equipment safe. Luckily, this case is made of heavy-duty ABS plastic that protect it from impact and submersion up to 3.3' (1 m).
The shock absorbing molded liner is designed to guard your tablet from impact as well as being equipment-friendly -- it won't scratch the surface of your tablet. The durable latch system won't open in case of an impact, and the purge valve prevents water and other contaminants from seeping in. The valve also stabilizes the internal pressure under which your tablet is stored.
In addition to a solid build, this case offers ease-of-use. A built-in easel allows you to position the iPad either horizontally or vertically. You can also stash additional accessories like cables and adapters under the keyboard. And the convenient, removable shoulder strap makes the i1075 easy to carry. Finally, Pelican supports this case with their made in the USA lifetime warranty so you can enjoy peace of mind and maximum protection when transporting your gear.

Comments about Pelican i1075 HardBack Case (With iPad Insert):
It's just great protection for your ipad and apple keyboard. I did not give it 5 stars for two reasons.
1. Now that I have used it, I would have rather have an attached carrying handle than the strap.
2. The case opens like a suitcase (all the way) and I would love if it had the ability to lock open at a 90 degree angle (like your laptop). The provided photo, when you look at it on the website, appears that it allows you to open it "laptop" style and that's just not possible with this case. Other than these two issues, its a great way to protect your ipad and keyboard.

I use these to send our IPADs to various tradeshows. We ship everything FedEx overnight but still needed extra protection so I turned to the premade case company Pelican and they delivered as always a great solid product.

Comments about Pelican i1075 HardBack Case (With iPad Insert):
The case itself is nice and does the job it is supposed to. Unfortunately, the foam padding is only held on by double sticky tape. Within a week I had to firmly glue the foam into place near the back of the case so it would hold my iPad upright. Additionally, the foam on the top of the case is starting to bubble up as well which does not look good in the slightest. One feature they do need to look into is a way to hold the back upright. When you are in situations, such as school, where you are very limited on space then the case folding all the way back, plus some, does not help the product in the slightest.

Comments about Pelican i1075 HardBack Case (With iPad Insert):
If your a person who is on the move then this case is for you. The case offers the best all around protection for your IPad and ease of access of any case I used in the past. It allows for storage of not only the apple wireless key board but also for all the items you normally need when traveling. I might recommend a rougher texture for the outer shell for better control of the case. Overall, Im through looking for cases. Pelican did this one right.

Comments about Pelican i1075 HardBack Case (With iPad Insert):
Got this as a gift for my new iPad2.
Absolutely love it! It fits the iPad2 even with the SmartCover on the screen; it holds the Apple bluetooth keyboard & charger cable in place beneath the iPad2, and it makes other so-called 'Hard Use' cases / covers look like a joke.
Since I own several Pelican cases, I knew what to expect, and I'm delighted. Again. And,as usual: B&H had the best price & fast shipping.
My only con: my Apple original charger does not fit in the front recess, as I expected.
Still: a brilliant design.
