The exciting JVC GC-PX10 HD Memory Camcorder is a perfect hybrid between a digital camera that shoots video and a digital camcorder that shoots stills. It lets you capture the exact moment you were shooting for by giving you the power to extract stills from 36Mbps, 1920 x 1080/60p full HD video. The camera also supports 60 frames per second with 130 shot continuous shooting, as well as approximately two hours of continuous high-speed video shooting. You can capture 12 megapixel stills with no interpolation at a maximum of 8600 shots and 8.3 megapixel stills while simultaneously recording full HD video.

The GC-PX10 features a Konica Minolta HD Lens, a 1/2.3" back-illuminated 12 megapixel CMOS sensor, a high-speed processing FALCONBIRD Image Engine, and an ample 32GB internal Flash memory. It also has an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot for memory expansion. The FALCONBIRD Engine delivers 36Mbps progressive full HD video and also allows for high-quality still image extraction. The hybrid camera features a tiltable 3.0" touch panel LCD monitor as well. The tilting monitor affords easy viewing of both video and stills. Plus, the secure grip camera design promotes steady shooting and better mobility.

JVC also equipped the GC-PX10 with several features that enhance shooting and correct problems. It features Super LoLux and a back-illuminated sensor for bright images even in low-light situations. There's an integrated Optical Image Stabilizer with Advanced Image Stabilization and a built-in auto flash as well. The camera boasts K2 Technology for high-quality sound, an easy control mode dial, face detection, face recognition, and a smile meter with smile shot. It has a focus assist control and several AE modes including Portrait, Soft Skin, Landscape, Landscape & Portrait, Night, Night & Portrait, NightAlive, Snow, Beach, Sports, Spotlight, Fireworks and Sunset.

For connecting your camera to an HDTV, there's a mini HDMI output that supports full HD 1080p video output and uncompressed audio output to a compatible HDTV. The GC-PX10 is also equipped with an AV output, a microphone input and headphone output. There's even a USB 2.0 port for hi-speed data transfers to your computer. Plus, if you have a PC, then the LoiLoScope FX Software will help you edit and quickly upload your videos and stills onto YouTube and Facebook. The camera is Eye-Fi card ready as well. This allows you to insert your Eye-Fi card to access a WiFi network right on the camera for even faster and more convenient uploading of your clips and images to social networking sites. With such an extensive feature list and the perfect synergy of video camera and still camera, the GC-PX10 is an ideal all-in-one camera that was designed specifically to excel at both video and still image capture.

Comments about JVC GC-PX10 HD Memory Camcorder:

I love this camera for the niche it fills (High Speed Burst shooting). You can set it up to shoot at 60 frames per second for a burst of 130 frames @ 8 megapixels per frame. It has a small sensor, so don't expect D-SLR quality, but for the price it is amazing. I've also used it in the built-in time lapse mode which works great. The high speed movie mode is fun. I've never needed to put in an SD card because the camera has 32GB of built-in memory. I wouldn't suggest this as ones only camera, but it has great features for a second camera.

Comments about JVC GC-PX10 HD Memory Camcorder:

surprised and dissapointed all in one with this camera. I was expecting to get better low light video quality and as with most camcorders get poor to bad still shot quality. The camera definitely needs a certain amount of light to make it work, but with the right light, this thing is amazing, especially for [$]. The multi-shot stills come out crystal clear when shot outside, and the super slow motion works great. Indoors under regular lighting conditions, forget the still shots or super slow motion, but the high def video is decent. And, it stores in mpg4 format and reads like a hard drive so its a breeze to download the video or stills to your computer. I've shot with high end prosumer canons, panasonics and sonys. I almost returned the JVC but the quality and versatility of this camera in decent light made me hold onto it. Definitely worth [$].

Comments about JVC GC-PX10 HD Memory Camcorder:

Was very excited to get this camera, had all the things I wanted in camera. Had the 60p shooting, since I do pro sports filming, needed the camera for low-light and slow motion.

Right out of the box, this camera is super small and super light. Everything about it got on my nerves. From the way the display screen opened up, to the flimsy cheap design, the quality of video was HORRIBLE, the zoom was bad, I sent it back almost immediately.

Comments about JVC GC-PX10 HD Memory Camcorder:

Had it for about a week. Seemed flimsy. Access doors for hot shoe and SD card cheaply constructed.Menu complex, still pictures used lots of memory, but were inferior in quality. Video in bright light was fantastic, not so good in low light. Not well designed for hand held video for more than a minute or two. Instruction manual poorly written and incomplete.

Comments about JVC GC-PX10 HD Memory Camcorder:

As soon as B&H stocks this cam, I immediately added to cart, and bought this gear. Personally, this is my first camcorder
purchase, and I must say, picture quality
wass the best,as well as features and ease
of use. I was looking for another brand, hence, why don't I give it a try for a new release from JVC. Since JVC does makes good of a cam,I decided to go for JVC.

The picture quality was superb, it was FULL HD, and once direct playing from OS, it was far way much better than my hdtv quality. Or perhaps equilavent. But when I connect to the AV cables through TV monitor picture quality dropped dramatically, with my old W1900 Dell LCD tv.
other than that, I have no problem using it.
