The Vaddio Sony EVI-D70 PTZ Camera (Black) is a high quality PTZ camera that is ideal for distance learning, video conferencing, use in houses of worship, courtrooms, hospitals and nursing homes, and concert halls. It features a 1/4" type EXview HAD CCD sensor for high resolution, standard definition imagery at 470 TVL resolution. There is also an effective 216x zoom (18x optical, 12x digital) for honing in on specific events and for long distance photography. The autofocus, auto white balance, and auto exposure further help to aid in the simplicity of this camera by allowing hands free operation. Also integrated into the lens is a 37mm filter mount for optional conversion lenses and filters. The camera is easily controlled by the included multi-function IR remote, or for more robust control, the RS-232C and RS-422 protocols are supported for wired remote control from a PC.
High Speed, Wide Pan and Tilt Range
Offering up to +/- 170° panning range and -30 - +90° tilt, this stationary camera has a highly effective range of view. It can also pan up to 100°/second and tilt up to 90°/second. It also features E:Flip functionality, which automatically rotates an image upside down when the camera is mounted to the ceiling or when it tilts past 90°. Up to 6 different preset angles, focus positions, AE modes, and other settings can be programmed; all of the info is stored due to an integral back-up battery that continues to work even when the camera is turned off. Control of the camera is possible via the included IR remote commander or with the wired remote RS-232C or RS-422 protocols from your PC.
18x Optical Zoom and Low Light Sensitivity
This lens features a total zoom magnification of 216x (18x optical, 12x digital), allowing you to clearly focus in on tight details and imagery from great distances. A 37mm diameter adapter ring is also integrated into the lens housing, permitting the use of auxiliary conversion lenses and filters. The camera is also capable of rendering imagery with a minimum illumination of only 1 Lux, making it ideal for use in low light situations such as theaters or naturally lit spaces.
