The Dulce Systems 16 TB Pro X 8 Gb Expansion RAID Storage System is a professional storage expansion system. It is designed for use with the Pro FC and Pro FCa storage systems which connect to a Mac or a PC with an optical Fiber Channel cable. The Pro X 8 is connected to the Pro FC or FCa via a mini SAS cable. The X 8 has two connectors, one in and one out that allow you to daisy chain more such units.
The Pro X 8 is certified for use with Final Cut Studio, Premiere and other popular video editors. It supports ProRes, DV, DVCPRO, HD, HDV, uncompressed SD/HD and 2K film formats. The Pro X technology affords superior workflow and supports up to 14 real-time streams, depending on the video resolution. The Single Expansion controllers can link with up to three other Pro X systems, increasing the total number of drives to 64. The Pro X expansion systems will not add any overhead to your existing Pro FC or FCa RAID system. You will continue to see performance at the same high standard you've come to expect from your current RAID system.- Daisy Chain Expansion
- When additional storage is required the Pro X increases the capacity of the Pro FCa or FC system through their built-in expanders. The Pro X can be daisy chained up to 3x from the RAID head, creating a total of 64 drives of very high speed online access.
