The Velbon GEO POD N84 4-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod is a lightweight camera support that extends to an extremely tall maximum height of 74.4" and contracts to just 23.4" for easy transport and storage.
The 1.7 lb GEO POD N84 monopod is ideal for situations that require mobility as well as sturdy camera support, such as nature and sports photography. The carbon-fiber monopod features twist-lock leg sections and a 3/8"-16 screw for attaching to a head or, via an 1/4"-20 adapter (not included), directly to a camera.

I don't often get to say that something is too tall for me, but this N84 monopod definitely gives me some height in reserve. The construction is a bit more robust than I was expecting, but regardless, I am very happy with the weight. The big leg lock nuts are excellent; they are very easy to use even with gloves. The only issue I might have is with the absence of a multi-surface foot; although the rubber foot will suffice for the bulk of my requirements.
