The DR-XB23VP Extra Bass In-Ear Stereo Headphones with Mic/Remote from Sony provide high-quality sound with an extra kick that's perfect for hip hop and other bass-heavy music. The headphones use 9mm PET dome-type CCAW drivers with neodymium magnets to produce bass frequencies as low as 5Hz and treble as high as 23kHz, ensuring that you don't miss any details in your music. The angled housings provide an acoustically-tight seal for excellent sound isolation, deep bass, and a stable fit.
The soft hybrid silicone eartips come in 4 different color-coded sizes, allowing you to find the perfect fit. A proper fit not only provides the best comfort and stability, but also the highest level of noise isolation. The flat cable helps to minimize tangles, and has an inline microphone and remote for use with a variety of smartphones and MP3 players such as the iPhone and iPod touch, plus Android and Blackberry devices.
The mic and 1-button remote allow you to make phone calls, take voice notes, enable VoiceOver, and control music playback, while the volume slider lets you make quick volume adjustments. The gold-plated 3.5mm plug is compatible with a wide variety of electronic devices, such as CD players, laptops, and more. This is by far some of the best headphones from sony that I have bought. I love the buds and are so far the best earbuds in the business to me. I love the crisp bass that I always get from sony and the added bonus is that they look really cool too. They are easy to grip and the flat, non-tangle cord (can still tangle but a lot less annoying than standard headphone cables) don't tunnel noise up to my ears even as I walk or run sometimes with them in my ears. Although I do warn that these HEADPHONES WILL NOT WORK WHEN RUNNING OR JOGGING, they will fall out. The clip and case that come with the headphones also are an added benefit to keep these wonderful headphones in pristine condition as well as keeping the cord from bouncing around.

Comfortable fit, great sound, zero durability. I did not abuse this set. No sudden tugs, jerks of any kind. No exposure to elements. I do not listen at punishing volumes. After each use, it was carefully rolled up and zipped into its case for storage. Less than 6 month after purchase, left bud is dead. No sound out of it. Not sure if the bud itself is dead, or something wrong with the wire or the control. But as Sony warranty is only 90 days, no choice but to trash it and shop for something else. Interestingly enough, this model is 'no longer available' at Sony store.

These earbud pack a nice well rounded bassy sound that compare easily to earphones more than twice their price. They are very comfortable - good fit is key to a good bass experience. They lack mid and high definition and detail so if you are an audiophile you will need to spend more.

Works good, sound not surpurb but decent, above average noise isolation (good for train commuting). Overall better sound, noise isolation and comfort then the white apple headphones. Works well with blackberry and android (needs included adaptor) as appose every other headphone/mic that just works for iphone.
