Kata E-702 PL Pro Light Rain Cover (Black)
The black E-702 PL Pro Light Rain Cover from Kata is a more than useful accessory to anyone who shoots in marginal weather. This lightweight, waterproof RipStop cover provides total protection to your camera and lens. It can also accommodate a 200-300mm camera/lens combination when used with optional extension E-704 (sold separately). It's easy to use and can be deployed rapidly when the weather suddenly turns sour.
The spacious side sleeves give you total access to your setup and the clear TPU panels allow you to see your monitor or LCD display. There's also a adjustable stiff hood that is designed to fit a wide variety of lenses. A double zipper is used to close the system irrespective of whether you are hand-holding your camera or using it on a tripod.

Prior to buying the Kata Rain Cover, I did buy a couple of the much cheaper knockoff's. Although they looked similar, the performance under wet conditions was always sub-par. From stiff, inflexible plastic to leaky seams all left my camera damp after use.
Last weekend I shot another outdoor event in downpour conditions. This time with the Kata cover protecting my Sony A77. The camera with a 70-200 zoom mounted, stayed high and dry. The clear plastic cover remained pliant and did not affect camera handling nearly as much.
I'm keeping this one in my car all year for go to, reliable protection from the elements.

I use this to photograph paintball...honestly this was a great buy. It protects my camera from paint and rain. Now I am able to get the shots I want without the worry of breaking my gear. It's very easy to use and doesn't get in the way at all. This is something I will definitely keep in my camera bag for those unexpected situations.
