I'm in the process of shooting my first documentary and needed an economical way to light interviews. Spoke to a consultant at B+H after studying different lighting kits ... researching ... and reading reviews for weeks. He quite simply asked me my needs, what I was looking for and my budget steering me towards this light kit. I didn't think there were any LED's in my range but this kit fit the bill.

Upon receiving it I wasn't disappointed at all. It's lightweight ... puts out the light I need ... the stands are strong ... and the light heads don't heat. The dimming feature is nice as well.

Not disappointed ... extremely pleased. Also, the battery option is a nice feature. If you need lights outdoors ... these lights will work for approximately 2 and half hours on battery power. Nice to have as an option.

The only thing I would change is a longer, stronger adapter cord ... but not a huge issue.

Shopped forever for a light kit ... to fit my needs and budget. Had three or four on my wish list and couldn't decide. Spoke to one of the techs at B+H ... and they steered me towards this kit. Research some more ... dug ... read ... and finally ordered this kit. I love them. Like anything ... it depends on what you're using them for ... in my case it's interviews for a documentary I'm working on. For this use ... they're perfect. Lightweight ... yet solid. Works on battery power if needed ... a nice added feature. The light don't run hot ... being LED ... and bulbs last forever. Perfect for me. A case would have been nice ... but I'm not complaining.

This product is great. I was nervous about buying them since all the reviews talked about how flimsy and cheap there where, so I was really surprised when they arrived and were not as "cheap" as I was expecting. They are defiantly made cheap but LEDs are LED's and they work great If you take good care of your equipment they will do the job. Super bright beautiful white light! Perfect for interviews.

One of the AC power cords it came with didn't work, but talked to B&H and they helped me contact Bescor who is going to send me a new one so I can't complain.

Looking forward to many years of service from the Green lights. Green in that the LED's are everlasting and produce very little heat which makes the camera man and the subject in a more comfortable setting which is of most importance to provide a smooth setting, The stands are well built and with a little TLC these light should last the lifetime of the videographer. The Dimmer control and added gels should be a aid to the creativity of the light on the scene.

Not super bright, but good enough for the interviews I'm doing. I read most peoples complaints, for the price I just don't get it. There literally isn't another light on the market at this price. Could the light be better? OF COURSE!!!!! But if you aren't a total barbarian the lights whould last long and treat you as well as you treat them. If you need a portable set up and aren't willing to drop thousands of dollars, there really isn't any other option. Great lights for the price PERIOD.

I am a student, studying Digital Media Production, part of which includes film making. We have practiclly professional equipment available to us, but I wanted my own. I ordered these lights and am pleased with what I recieved. They are light weight, come in a compact box. I took them in for my instructior to evaluate and he liked them and is considering buying some for the school. One of my fellow students wanted to borrow them almost imediatly as they can be ran off of batteries. The one thing I'm concerned about is where the stand connects with the lights is done with a screw head into plastic. It seemes a bit fragile at this point. I intend to reinforce the area with a metal flat bracket. Other than that the stands are sturdy enough, the light tilts as needed. Over all a great deal and great product for the price.

In needed these lights for some basic portrait shots, and extra lighting for a project I was doing. They worked amazing. Turned out to be better than what I expected.

We use this set of lights to shoot client testimonial video in an office setting. The lights do a decent job of lighting up the subject's face and surrounding (though we have to keep them close to the subject). Given the price, I believe the build quality could be better. The case is a very cheap plastic, panels are not aligned perfectly and seem like they were assembled in a hurry. The power switch is very cheap and feels like it will break eventually. The alternatives are far more expensive so I would buy these again if I had to but that does not warrant a good-enough attitude by the manufacturer. Take some pride in what you make!

I'm a amateur videographer with occasional paying gigs. I don't really have the money to spend on those $1000 dollar lights, so I took a gamble and ordered these. After a few uses all I can say is I LOVE THESE THINGS. They're just bright enough, run on a few different forms of power (AA's and AC adapter), and easy to transport. I mean yeah the plastic isn't going to survive a nasty fall but I'll be gentle. Great value!

I bought these lights to light performers at a house concert venue. They are compact and they don't heat up the small performance space and they have helped make photography possible in the space. They've only had one outing so far so I'm a little concerned about how they will hold up to the wear and tear of regular use so I will have to report back. It would be nice if you could change the mounting orientation.

I use them for lighting interviews and smaller rooms in non fiction. I was warned by the reviews about the poor quality of the product, so I tested everything before I left the store. And yes, the first and second box had defects, but the third one was good. And I am impressed. The tripods are fine, it is all very small and lightweight, so easy for travel. And most important: the lights do what they promiss to do: plenty of light, especially if you take some softening filters along. And since it is LED I can use batteries and can use these all over the world. Never an electrical problem anymore, no more wires. So be careful handling them and you'll be fine.

I am far from a pro and I needed lights for the occasional blog video that I do. These are working out great for me. I don't move them from the location to location much so they work great in a fixed environment. Not the strongest cases or stands out there so I have a feel I'd tear these up if I tried to move them daily. But a great value for what I paid.

The next one I got rattled inside and would not work as well. I got my money returned to me.

I bought 2 sets (4 LED lamps in all) last week and used them on two jobs. When they arrived I found that one lamp was broken coming right out of the box. That pair was sent back to B&H immediately. As for the second set of lamps, I used them on my very next job. One of the LEDs in one of the lamps stopped working after its first use.
The stands that come with the kit worry me. They are not very heavy making the unit top heavy. My friend bought these as well and one stand fell over breaking the switch in one of his LED-95DK2 lights. These are not very durrable and not good for travel.
As for the actual funtion of these lamps....
They are very bright and can be dimmed (but so is my smaller less expensive LEDs which I use in tandum).
Bottom line for me is that I will never buy them again just because of how cheaply they are made. I don't trust that they will last. The reason I bought these was because you have the ablity to plug them into a power source. The current light that I am using do not have that feature.
