The portable and stylish Creative Labs D100 Portable Bluetooth Wireless Speaker (Black) is basically a modern day, wireless boombox for the next generation of young adults looking to express their individuality by sharing their favorite hip-hop beats, punk rock classics, indie tunes and straight rock'n'roll favorites with friends, family and the rest of the neighborhood. The speaker's modern aesthetic is as modern as its technology, and the Creative Labs Bluetooth integration supports Wireless Bluetooth Stereo (A2DP), as well as Bluetooth Remote Control (AVRCP).
The cool little speaker connects to any compatible Bluetooth-enabled device, which affords wireless stereo streaming from your compatible stereo systems, smartphones, laptops, notebooks, netbooks, tablets, and of course several iPods and other MP3 players. The D100 is equipped with Enhanced Data Rate or Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. Plus, it supports A2DP, AVRCP, and has a wireless operating range that can reach up to 33' (10 m) depending on how clear the line of sight is between the D100 and the audio source.
Creative Labs even designed a few adapters (sold separately) that can turn your non-Stereo Bluetooth computer into a fully functional stereo wireless Bluetooth-enabled device with the attachment of a USB transmitter. If your iPod suffers from the same problem, there's an adapter that connects to any Apple 30-pin dock adapter and turns any other iPod into a wireless streaming device capable of streaming stereo Bluetooth. Sometimes BT agrivates me because they're hard to connect to. This one was easy. REALLY lightweight. Kind of wish it had a handle but the port in the back works okay for that. Good range! I don't think you'd want to drop this though. One other thing..the grill cloth that covers the speakers..I'll bet you could poke your finger right through that stuff. Something more substantial would have made this a 5 star model. I also have the D200 which is more robust both from sound level and studiness--more expensive. But I don't worry about grabbing this for the garden or wining outside. At the price I paid it's almost disposable!

I broke my Supertooth Blueant wireless speaker by pluging in the wrong charger. Stupid me. So I read the reviews on this Creative 100 speaker system, purchased at the NY store and was disapointed after hearing the sound. My old speaker blew this away. The Supertooth Blueant M1 speaker is smaller, better bass, more controls. This will be returned.

I bought this to have a wireless speaker on my patio. It works great and was very easy to link to my tablet. I think it has great sound for such a small compact speaker (own Bose 301s for indoors). Note that it is not meant for rocking the house but perfect for enjoying music in a smaller area.

I purchased this speaker to use with various MP3 players and phones. Connecting to the blutooth is relatively easy and the connection remains solid and consistent. The sound, while good, lacks punch. Also the volume is rather limited-not meant for parties. However, given the price range, this is certainaly a very good speaker.

It was dead simple to make the connection between my iPhone. It sounds great and has a pretty long range. A trick I found to control the volume without having to go to the speaker is to turn the volume up on the unit to almost it's limit and then use the volume up/down buttons on your phone. The bass from the speakers, while not at the level of a real sub-woofer, is perfectly fine. The bass-reflex design with a tuned port on the back does the trick -- and that same port serves a a handy carrying handle of sorts.

Since receiving the D100 Portable Bluetooth Wireless Speaker, I have easily paired it with my iMac, MacBook and iPhone 4. It provides a nice sound, with pretty good bass. I have used it in several places in my large back yard when paired to the iMac and have never lost the pairing. I am using 4 AA NiMh rechargeable batteries and they are up to the advertised 25 hour point and still going. I recommend this speaker for anyone looking for good sound, portability, ease of use and, of course, a great price.

Great volume, battery operated for easy convenience and portability. Gets surprisingly loud for its size. Amazing Bluetooth range... this thing must have a very impressive internal antenna because I get nearly crystal clear connectivity all over my house.
My only qualm would be with the connection process, sometimes it takes me a moment to get it connected to my phone-- however I don't blame the product for this yet as I have not read the manual.

I used i-pod and speakers made for it for years, but when I switched to Android, my apple specific products were no longer useful.
These speakers with Bluetooth did the trick. And they can still be used when I change phones, or with my wife's i-phon.
You can plug these in, but I use them with eneloop rechargeable batteries so I can move the speakers to whatever room I'm in.
The D100 is loud enough to fill a room with music, and the model up from this doesn't have the battery option. This model is perfect for me, and the price was right, too.
