The TDK CD-RW Compact Disc is a perfect everyday solution for recording upon computers' CD and DVD drives, offering broad compatibility with hardware brands and models. TDK makes high-performance discs tested to the strictest standards, and these CDs have 700MB of storage capacity for digital photo files, data files, or up to 80 minutes of uncompressed CD-quality music. These particular discs will play back in nearly any CD or DVD/CD player, computer drive, or game consoles.
The CD-RW media is a rewriteable format, meaning that it is designed to allow the removal and re-insertion of information to the disc several times without any difference in the performance of the disc. TDK tests these discs to work >1000 cycles.
These are TDK's "data specific" CD discs. The recording industry, in order to prohibit serial copying (further copying from a copy), has a copy protection scheme called the "Serial Copy Management System". You can occasionally record from original CDs to these discs without issue, but if you are buying CDs to specifically use digital audio recorders to copy original CDs you must buy the music-specific discs instead of these data-specific models.
While not optimized for printing, the top surface of these discs is very 'writing friendly' with a soft-tipped CD-R pen.
