Although it's less than 9" long, SureFire's M6LT Guardian LED Flashlight is a single-output extended-range LED that's suitable for spotlight/searchlight applications, and features 900-lumen white-light LED illumination. The deep machined grooved design gives you a secure hold with cold, wet, or gloved hands. For superior corrosion-resistance, the M6LT is constructed from high-strength aerospace aluminum with a Mil-Spec hard anodized finish, and it's O-ring and gasket-sealed for protection from moisture, dirt, and dust.
The M6LT is powered by six CR123A batteries that provide a full-power tactical level of light for 3.25 hours, activated by a tactical tailcap switch.
SureFire's LED emitter is virtually indestructible - there is no filament to burn out or break. The emitter has a large-diameter Turbohead TIR (Total Internal Reflection) reflector/lens assembly which creates a powerful beam of light optimized for close-to-medium-range applications. The coated, tempered window resists impact and thermal shock, maximizes light transmission.

Comments about SureFire M6LT Guardian LED Flashlight:
Great light for lighting up large rooms, open fields, open roads. Blindingly powerful, people stop what they're doing when you point this thing at them. Works great to stop aggressors, to search for people and things.
It's easy to use and very durable. As far as i can tell what surefire calls weatherproof seems to be full blown waterproof. The batteries seem to last forever. Everyone in law enforcement or the military needs one of these!

Comments about SureFire M6LT Guardian LED Flashlight:
Basically I bought this flashlight strictly for self defense purposes as I live in a bad neighborhood and wanted some way to deter any hazardous encounters. This flashlight more than provides me with the safety that I need as it switches on to the highest setting of 900 lumens INSTANTLY and exactly at the time that I need it. It is very sturdy and the build quality is the best that I have ever seen/felt. On top of this all it looks very military like, very professional. Additionally the handle has grip marks on it so the flashlight won't slip out of your grasp easily.
If you are ever attacked in the middle of the night by either an intruder or while walking home alone at night on a deserted street, I can guarantee you that if you turn this flashlight on just once, your assailant will be blinded temporarily and immediately, thus giving you the time needed to escape the situation.
