The Eye-Fi 8GB Memory Card Mobile X2 Wireless Class 6 provides you with 8GB of storage, class 6 speed, and the ability to instantly send your photos or videos to your computer, iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Your JPEG files fly through your Wi-Fi network with the card's built-in 802.11n speed. Set up takes just minutes
Setup - it's all in the package it's all in the package The Eye-Fi card comes ready to be configured in a USB reader. The software you'll need to get started is included. Pop the Eye-Fi card and the USB reader in your computer to get started in minutes
1. Select networks Add wireless networks the Eye-Fi card will use to upload your media. You can add up to 32 networks, even if they're not in range, but you'll need their ID and password to add them
2. Choose your destinations During set up customize which computer and folders are used to store media. If your Eye-Fi card supports Online Sharing, you'll also customize where on the Web your photos are wirelessly transferred
3. Start snapping away Once you've customized where your memories will go, simply insert the Eye-Fi card in your camera and start snapping away. You'll see your 1st photo fly into your computer right away

Eye-Fi is pure genius! I don't know about you, but the simple fact that I had to turn on my computer and locate the proper cable to download pictures (or rely on some "card drive") - was a barrier that made me look for larger and larger memory cards and let them fill up - then download in earnest when I had to clear the camera off.
Now with Eye-Fi all I do is turn on the camera when I get home and it uploads to my computer and my favorite web photo storage (they support many!) and voila... pictures for me to see and share immediately.

My main purposes of getting this eye-fi is to tether my D7000 to iPad 2. It took me a few hours to get it to work. While it is working, the transfer is slower than I expected. Also, I found that some of the pictures in my iPad 2 are incomplete. I am not sure it is the problem of the D7000 or the large file size. I was tired trying to figure out what the problem was and this eye-fi is returned. Eye-fi has upgraded their firmware to be able to use direct mode for all eye-fi cards. Then why are we paying extra for "Mobile" version?

Its a awesome peice of hardware that not only fits in as a Good SDHC Card with Class 6 allowing you to shoot HD Video but also impress other and yourself with what it can help with. Ever wished how it the pictures would look in big screen when you shoot a picture its made easy(both indoor - using Wifi or other door thru ur card Push to your phone / tablet..) Its both Fun and a Handy must have tech.

Bought this to go in my Nikon D80 to connect to my iPad. The product works just fine, but the documentation is a little lacking unless you already know how the product works with WiFi. I use direct mode mostly and the initial configuration is difficult to understand based solely on the documentation. I had to call customer support, but they were great and we were able to resolve my misunderstanding quickly and get the product working as designed. Neat product and fun to use.
