The Night Owl Apollo 4-Channel H.264 DVR With D1 Recording (No Hard Drive) allows you to instantly view videos from miles away using an internet-enabled PC, turning your computer into a surveillance hub. You can also view captured footage while on-the-go using select 3G/4G iPhone, Android, and Blackberry models. The triplex function allows you to view and playback videos even as the DVR continues to record, keeping the surveillance area fully secure. All videos are recorded in H.264 format at D1 resolution and come with a time and date stamp for official use.
In case of any movement in the vicinity under surveillance, the motion detection sensor triggers an alarm and instantly sends out an email notification to your inbox. You can also keep a track of high-risk areas during peak hours by switching to the DVR's time-scheduled recording mode. This will allow you to record for a specific period instead of continuously recording unwanted footage, thus saving space on your hard drive.
Critical surveillance footage can be transferred on a flash drive or USB hard disk for later use. For enhanced security, the DVR has a password protection feature that prevents unauthorized users from operating the system or viewing crucial data.

Comments about Night Owl Apollo 4-Channel H.264 DVR With D1 Recording (No Hard Drive):
We are still amazed. Have 4 cameras connected, motion sensing follows cars/people cam-to-cam, ability to set sensitivity levels is better than expected. Alarm settings are better than expected. We consider this a great buy. Bought the 500 GB HD with it and did the install myself. Piece of cake. Menus are good, easy to follow, even the manual is OK. Internet interface is the only area that didn't goes as the book explained. [It's written for Windows. The Mac does many of the steps automatically. Kept looking for how to do the steps called for in the manual, many were simply not needed when using a Mac.]
