The Pavilion dv6-6180us 15.6" Notebook Computer (Steel Gray) from Hewlett Packard is a portable entertainment PC designed for people who want to bring their media with them on the road. This HP notebook has a 15.6" widescreen display with LED backlighting and HP BrightView antiglare technology. The 1366 x 768 native resolution is powered by AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1GB graphics.
Beats Audio is exclusive to HP notebook computers and is provided through integrated quad speakers. The rear pair of speakers can tilt forward to kick the sound right at you for the ultimate listening experience. Beats Audio is unlike other laptop speakers because it can eliminate electronic background noise, go from whisper quiet to blasting loud without flattening out the sound, add powerful amplifiers for full-bodied sound and a bass boost button to pump up volume even more.
This system is powered by a quad-core 2.20GHz Intel Core i7-2670QM processor with Intel Turbo Boost technology. It also has 6GB of DDR3 RAM, a 750GB 5400rpm hard drive, a built-in HP TrueVision HD low-light webcam, an integrated digital microphone, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

For its price, this laptop is well worth the money.
Currently I use it for gaming and work, and the laptop handles both quite well.
I wouldn't recommend this laptop for gaming for those who seek to play games on ultra high settings, as that would require stronger graphic hardware. Get an alienware if you want those capabilities.
I would recommend this laptop for general use such as office work, entertainment, or low-to-medium end gaming.
I've yet to encounter anything wrong with the laptop itself, but I do notice that Windows 7 has issues updating sometimes.

I'll like the machine very much, with I7 peroformance is astonshing, steel Gray body also an add-on. Finger Print Scan to login is cool no need to remember the password anymore. also the price here is better then any online or actual retail store. HDMI out is awesome.
Things i don't like is the display is the height 768px which is very low and sometime very annnoying, it should have altest 800px high. Keyboard is to big no one is uses the side numeric # anymore. Fn key should be placed in place of CTRL key very annoying. Beat audio is useless, they could be little more louder with some base in them.
Thing i hate : the machine comes with some bad preloaded WIFI drivers. it took me two days to have my WIFI working without any trouble.
now it's fine, i love the machine..

I found out that the wirelss wasn't working well so I tinkered with the NIC settings (properties) and disabled the 802.11n feature. Seems to be working now but I will keep this updated as time goes on.

I loved my first Pavilion so much, I bought a second one. This is my everyday laptop for music, finances, internet, etc. The graphics and sounds are crisp and clear. I am still trying to get use to the number keypad on the side.

Great config, i7 and 6gb makes this laptop so fast, much faster than my old Turion II X2 with 4gb.
Great sound quality with the beats audio.
Graphics card looks awesome, but I did not test it yet becouse I'm traveling right now.

Daily use laptop. Really like how it looks. Thinner and more sturdy than I thought it would be. With that comes a little more weight than would be ideal but for the money its a fair trade. Great screen and graphics. Love the feel of the keyboard, plus the number pad is nice to have. Super quiet! I have had it two weeks and have maybe heard the fan once or twice. I really like that! The speakers are probaly the worst feature as they dont get very loud and when they're at the limit the sound is pretty metallic. I was expecting a little more from Beats Audio and HP. Nothing good external speakers cant fix though. Overall I'm satisfied.

I bought the product to replace booth my desktop and my netbook. I was seeking a powerful machine and this note has one of the best processors, good memory (possibility to upgrade to 16Gb RAM) and nice HD. Cons are that is does not have blue-ray and video has 1GB dedicated (instead of 2GB of many top machines). The only issue I found was the CD button that is hard to reach meaning that you have to push it many times to make the CD driver open. Still a great value for the price I payed (US[$] inc. tax).
