Elements 10 continues to inherit valuable features for amateurs. However, an excellent new product would be Lightroom Elements, which is easier to use because it is so well organized with the workflow running along the right side of the screen in it Develop Module, unlike Elements with features spread all over in menus.

I've been using this to greatly clean up Cross Country pics which go from bright light in clearings to murk in wooded areas. The ability to run a whole folder through corrections as a batch is wonderful.
I finally have the capability to get rid of the lovely porta-potty, trash can, etc that always seem to jump in the background just as I take a picture.
This software has more capabilities than I'll ever use but be aware it is not intuitive. I made little progress using it until I found a reasonably priced continuing education class on it. That made a world of difference.
